I was sexually harassed by one of my guy friend, we’re really close. But as we get way too close that he starts speaking about my body parts, especially private parts. I was being touched at my private parts by a guy whom I call him ‘friend’—However, I decided not to ever speak about it to anyone until I realize it should not be kept as secret or else it won’t stop. I decided to have a private talk, serious talk with my girl friends. But theirs’s responds surprise me; “you’re thinking too much” “Are you fucking kidding me? Haha nice joke” “Nah, it might be just an accident”

I realize I should never speak about it at all. I felt humiliated and ashamed.

I almost fall for those words that they told me, I almost believed that I think too much. But still those actions never stop, I had been harassed for 2 years and never speak about it.

Until one day, truth slipped off one of my friend’s mouth: “What’s the point of harassing you anyway, it would be waste of time. You’re not even pretty and you’re fat as fuck. Nobody would wants to do that to you, besides you should be proud that someone decided to sexually harass you.”

I was stunned.

Is it my fault for having a not good looking body?

Should I really be proud that I got harassed?

Then this is what I realize about how society is so fucked up these day.

If you didn’t the beauty standard, you should never dare to open your mouth. Not being pretty would lead you nowhere, even you’re one of a humanbeing.

You feelings are not important, unless you’re pretty.

Nobody cares if you have a good heart, nobody would give a shit to know what’s in the inside of you or how good you are.

But it seems the word “pretty”

Is just another word

For “Tone it down.”

It seems the word “Pretty”

Is just another word for, “Stop your gay shit!”

For, “Don’t say things like ‘dick’”.

For, “Please start being indirect.”

Well, at least you’re saying please now.
