1. Markus has both pain and temperature sensors, in addition to the pressure sensors present in most androids, courtesy of his unique creation. He does have varying levels of control over both, and did briefly disable them after his experience in the ‘junkyard’/mass grave. He re-enabled them after the successful mission on the docks with Jericho, when he determined that he was going to live and feel to its fullest, and fight for the freedom of all his people to do the same.

Pain as experienced by androids with the advanced programming to do so is fundamentally different from humans, but still equatable. Markus has the ability to isolate and minimize the noxious signals, allowing himself to not be debilitated and to continue functioning, though they don’t cease entirely until their source is repaired.
