@becomedeviant: asked for younger Hank.
The Red Ice Ring was Hank's baby more or less. He had started looking into it early in his Detective years and it fully bloomed when he got a breakthrough. Finding out one of their locations and breaking it down. They broke two of the people out of the sixteen they arrested that day. It wasn't much but it was more progress than anyone had made since the arrival of Red Ice following the creation of the Androids and Thirium 310.
Androids were all the rise recently, so many of them falling into creation and being turned into so many different things from sex box to just your every day household care takers. Often times now he couldn't take Cole to the playground without running into so many of them. It seemed every kid had an android now to walk them to school or pick them up or play with them at the playground. The days Hank dropped Cole off at the playground to run around there was an android on every corner waiting along with them.
Hank didn't hate androids, he just didn't understand. Cole was a baby truly, just learning to talk, and he the kid knew more about then than he did. Cole loved to sit down and talk to his Daddy about androids, babbling about them and making them sound like an imaginary friend. He wanted so badly to be able to have one, to have a friend, as he 'attempted' to word it. Hank just rolled his eyes and shook his head, dismissing all of it because he didn't care for them. He honestly thought they were a little weird and he didn't want someone spying on him.
But they were vital to the Red Ice Ring which was why Hank was so focused in on them now. He needed to understand them so he could understand Red Ice. Once they figured that out he was sure they could take down all of it. But there was that hitch, understanding them.
Hank today, putting aside his desire to figure androids out, was on another lead about a warehouse that had possibly been creating and selling Red Ice. With a team of members and himself leading it they broke down the front door and sweat the place. They did a thorough clean out, arrested those that they could, killed about four who tried to fight back and it was in the back of all of it that Hank found an android strung out, chest out for everyone to see and a steady leak of thirium falling from it into whatever was collecting it at the bottom.
Hank cut the wires that were keeping them strung up, helped lower them down to the ground and knelt in front ofâhim? It looked Male. âI think he's alive.â
âI think you mean it.â
Hank shot a glare over his shoulder at Reed and turned back to the android. âI might be able to turn him back on.â Carefully Hank reached his hand up and brushed the tips of his fingers against the LED.
