She showed up as a white dove this evening, but for the past few days I've been having thoughts about names she likes (her truename & Lynet specifically) & hearing another dæmon's voice beaides my Praxis.

It's interestimg to see how distinct they are, like black & white--literally. Praxis is much more direct, blunt & motivated to get things done & act with honour, while Arete is softer, more wild & sweeter.

Anyways, if any Daemians are interested in moodboards, feel free to send an ask.

If you tell me name, their form, any distinct traits (physical or just like personality), their favorite environment, and anything interesting about them; I will see about making a moodboard for you.

Crowd - a crowd of Dæmons. This is generally used when referring to Dæmons in a public place who you don't know or recognize at all and have probably never even seen before, ie. Cafe, library, restaurant, bookstore, plaza, elevator, etc. Complete and utter strangers. You don't know them, they don't know you.

Crush - a crush of Dæmons. This is usually used in a place that a lot of people frequent very often, but who aren't particularly close to each other. Think school, college, work, mutually favoured places like a specific cafe or the local library. People you see often, but rarely if ever interact with. They're only familiar by their regularity - you've seen them before a lot, but never for long. Passing in the hallways, only ever seen them sitting in that corner, etc.

Club - a club of Dæmons. This is used amongst people of varying closeness, who definitely interact on a regular basis. Could be coworkers you go out to drink with, classmates you always pick to do projects with, that group of kids+Dæmons in the skate park who are teaching you and your Dæ how to do a kick flip. Could also be friends you hang out with a lot, the cashier you always go to because they're nice to you, or your extended family who you like a lot.

Crew - a crew of Dæmons. Immediate family, people you love a lot and interact with daily. Siblings, parents, your closest friends who are more like family to you anyways. Found family counts as well. People you love beyond anything. Your spouse's Dæmon would become a crew with yours, for example. Your siblings' Dæ are a crew with yours. "The Lalor crew all tend to settle as smaller omnivores, don't they?" and so on.

Cast - a cast of Dæmons. This is used for multidæ, or people who are even closer than family - people and their Dæmons who function more like one person with X amount of bodies than a bunch of people together. In other words people who, together, are more like multidæ than separate people. Think close identical twins’ level of sameness.

Feel free to think of more in the comments! I'm trying to keep the theme of starting them with a "c", if possible. I encourage everyone to make use of these! How close are you to your friends? What category would your Dæmons fall into when interacting with others' Dæmons?

Pairs

Thought about how my daemons' dynamics have shifted since Lynn came around. Rhea is still a contrast to everyone. Cayde is rude and bitter while she is polite and optimistic. Rhea is much calmer and in control compared to Tess. Lynnette is fueled by anger and has an impatient drive, but Rhea is patient and kind.

We thought about what would happen if they all paired off into human/daemon pairs. Who would compliment, or at least complete, the other. Without much hesitation Cayde claimed Lynnette and Tess got Rhea.

Rhea with anyone makes sense. She definitely balances all of them and is probably the key to Ashe being so well put together. But Cayde and Lynnette are a bit different. They don't complete each other. It's more like they can compete with each other. Take the other on headfirst and come out fine. I also don't think Lynnette only takes on some of my intrusive thoughts. I think she also has some of Cayde's. So their pairing makes some sense. He keeps her in check and she gives him an outlet for emotions and thoughts he won't allow himself to express.
