Okay! Being honest, I don't hate appledash, more indifferent. But one of the things I don't like going around, is the narrative that Rarity's "last act of generosity" is letting go of aj because she knows rainbowdash like aj.
I hate it. I think it's the stereotype that fem/mes should bear the brunt of emotional burden for everyone else. Yes, it IS that serious to me. The way fandom talk about my girl is so fucking annoying and sometimes even downright insidious. Her emotions are often mocked, and then romanticized, just so people can avoid dissecting her character and giving it the same amount of dignity (They also do this with Fluttershy btw).
