This sounds angsty but I am sure Jaron was very tired of fighting throughout the books post TSC. 😭

Okay here's a pillow fight scene of Mott catching Jaron, Roden, Tobias, Darius and Fink in a pillow fight from my old fic:

The pillow fight was in full swing when Mott and Harlowe burst in. Mott’s voice cut through the chaos. “What are you doing?”

Harlowe sighed as his gaze swept across the feather strewn room. Mott folded his arms and spoke sharply. “I could expect this from Fink, Roden, or Tobias, and I certainly expected this from Jaron. But Darius as well? You are nearly four years older than the three of these fools and much older than Fink. Why are you part of this?”

Darius caught his breath and pointed at me. “Jaron started it.”

I grinned without remorse as Kerwyn appeared in the doorway and sighed heavily, as though remembering the days when Darius and I had done the same as children. “This happened when they were young boys too. I am getting too old for this.”

My eyes flicked to the doorway where Amarinda stood, laughing breathlessly. “You could have invited me. This looks fun.”

I bet Mott catches Jaron climbing roofs post series. So here is a portion of that scene from an old fic.

“Jaron, how many times have I told you this?” Mott’s voice, stern and exasperated, echoed from a nearby turret.

“Who told you this time, Mott? Darius?” I called back, spotting his broad figure standing in the turret with his arms crossed and his expression caught somewhere between irritation and concern. My tone was light, though a playful edge lingered beneath it.

“I need to speak to Darius about keeping my secrets. He is not nearly as discreet about my habits as he was when we were children.”
