So I have ideas for Tobias's birthday which is planned by Jaron and Amarinda together involving others too. But Mott's birthday is next day and my favorite dynamic and relationship in the series is of Jaron and Mott since book 1. So what would Jaron do to surprise or celebrate Mott's birthday? I have no idea for that.
Also who would tell Jaron of Mott's birthday?( Mott himself?š¤) Jaron knows Tobias's birthday like friends do and Harlowe told Jaron of Rodenās birthday in my fic and Jaron and Darius and Amarinda being royalties their birthdays are known to all like celebrities are like.
And I am sure Fink wouldn't know his real birth-date. I headcanon it was made by Erick or Jaron. ( Maybe Erick.)
As for Amarinda's birthday she wouldn't like grand celebration like Jaron doesn't either and Amarinda would want small celebration. Maybe she would spend the day with everyone first and then quietly with Tobias.
As for Jaron's birthday of course I have an idea for that but it's sad too as he got 15 at the end of TFP according to the author so I think his coronation was on his birthday( it happened in other series I saw) Or after his coronation day but still he would be sad because he would miss his parents and the day would remind him of TFP mostly. So it's basically his friends planning to cheer him up with a play. (That is full of mistakes and comedic. Fink over act , Roden tripped and Tobias lost his line being the narrator because of the mistakes. Jaron ends up laughing and tells them they are all terrible actors and joined them.š¤£š) That is only part of how the story ends. Jaronās birthday would probably be the longest birthday chapter.
And since we are talking of birthdays in my headcanon Amarinda would celebrate Imogen's birthday and arrange for a celebration herself.( Being besties I am sure Amarinda would be the only one to know it as I never see Jaron and Imogen share mundane things in books on page. Jaron didn't know Imogen's real last name before proposing her and only says maybe she would like these flowers but he never said which flowers she liked . So Yes it's Amarinda knowing Imogen's birthday and planning it for her. Plus Jaron and Imogen are exes now to me after book 5.) Also I wouldn't want Batilda in the castle on Imogen's birthday and I am sure Jaron wouldn't want Batilda in his castle either. But Imogen would as Batilda is her mother and she was listening to Batilda a lot in TSC so maybe the celebration happens outside the castle.š¤£
I would only write Tobiasās birthday besides Jaronās probably since I want the birthdays in Jaronās pov mostly. (Like there could be third person sometimes.) I wanted to show Jaron's bond with the birthday characters and the birthday characters bond with others.(I wrote Jaron celebrating Roden's for their dynamic and Harlowe and Roden's bond too.š And I realized Roden never knew his real birthday before meeting Harlowe as the Avenian woman wouldn't know the exact date just that it's winter. So he deserved one.)
I will write for Tobias is because he is part of the main trio of the series. And writing Darius's one was because of the frozen fever episode and I wanted Jaron and Darius make up for the lost years of separation like that.
Anyway back to Mott. I need to know what Jaron does for Mott on his birthday?š¤š Maybe they I would write of Mott too as he is my favorite character next fo Jaron.

Thought of posting some of my favorite princess Amarinda quotes. (No one ever does that so I am doing it for my queen. š)
I will start with TST
1)"Weāre very different people, Jaron, but in that one way, weāre so much alike. You never wanted the crown, nor did I. In fact, in all my life, I have never been asked what I wanted."
2) "No, it meant I had to return to the castle so that our people could be assured the throne still stands! If they know what they are fighting for, people will continue to fight, but if word spread of your death, they would start to wonder. I had to return so that I could provide them a purpose." ( Her best line ever!)
3)"Tobias does not have your wit with words or strength with a sword. But he is good and kind, and I am myself when Iām with him.ā
( Just Amarinda's feelings for Tobias. I love how she said it without just saying she loved him. Love subtle romantic lines)
4) āI may have come to Carthya because of a promise and a treaty,ā she whispered, ābut I will return again because my heart remains here.ā
(She came here as a foreign princess and it is amazing how she started loving Carthya.š)
5) "But youāll find a way. You always do."
( Just liked that when Jaron said he couldn't see a path to victory, she believed in this scene in the beginning of the book that Jaron could find a way to win the war as he always did overcome situations no matter how tough. And he really did find a way in the end. Everyone needs a friend like her who believes in them.)
6) "Whatever feelings we share, you are important to me, and to all of Carthya."
( Just her telling Jaron's life is important to everyone as he is so intending not to survive in the war.)
7) "I know the fight between you wasnāt real.ā
( Putting it here cause her understanding Jaron and Roden's fake fight was too good.š She is smart. I remember Tobias still believed the fight was real. Lol. She understands jaroden dynamic better than Tobias. š¤)
8) Despite her attempts to remain serious, Amarinda giggled. āAvenia thinks theyāre battling a king. I doubt theyāre prepared to fight a boy who thinks childish pranks are practical strategies for war.ā
( This one was in author's quotes of the books and I liked how she enjoyed Jaron's pranks here.)
TFP( Didn't have good ones as there was more plot related dialogues here for Amarinda. Though the dirt on her face introduction was funny and good revealing she isn't some perfect princess as everyone thinks.)
1) "All I want is to be happy, but I fear that is too much to ask." ( Just felt her pain here. Relatable one.)
2) "I asked you here because you spoke honestly to me before. If Iād entered that room with a face smeared in mud and asked another servant how I looked, heād have bowed and told me I looked as beautiful as ever. When you're in my position, Sage, you come to realize how few people you can trust."
( I liked this one as the last line is something Jaron could relate to especially after being king like he couldn't trust many people either. Also he told Roden in TST that when he was prince everyone bowed to him but didn't love him. So many weren't honest with him about their thoughts because of Jaronās position back then .)
TRK ones
1) "Jaron, Iām proud of what you did for Carthya, proud that you trusted me to rule while you were gone. And Iām proud to be sitting beside you now. There are great things ahead for us.ā
2) I liked this conversation because how she saw the pirate brand as a symbol of what Jaron had done for Carthya and told him not to hide it:
āIt might fade eventually,ā I said, ābut it will never go away.ā
āIt shouldnāt go away. Itās part of your history now. What youāve done is a part of Carthyaās history.ā
āStill, Iāll try to keep it hidden whenever possible.ā
Amarindaās grip tightened. āItās not necessary for you to hide that. Nor to hide anything from me.ā
3) "Jaron the Ascendant. I like that. See your people welcome you home."
( Yes we all like the title. She was the only one who commented about the title after people called him that here in book 2.)
4) āI think itās unfair that women arenāt allowed to wear trousers. They seem far more comfortable than dresses.ā
( Considering how uncomfortable those heavy gowns might have been back then, I can understand she just wanted to wear comfortable clothes. Relatable thought. )
5) āI think itās funny when youāre rude to the cook. I shouldnāt admit that, but his face turns all sorts of colors when you are and thereās nothing he can do about it."
( Amarinda is so right! Jaron being angry with the cooks is funny. The thought is so funny. How come we never saw a scene? I loved this mundane conversation which characters don't often have in this series.)
TSC ( There are too many motivation ones in a single chapter. Jaron really needed this. )
1) āYou are not too much for Carthya. We need you, just as you are.ā
2)This one is a conversation scene between Jaron and Amarinda:
"Are things at the castle as bad as I think they are?ā
āYes. And everything I try only seems to make things worse.ā
āYou will solve this, Jaron. You always do."
4) (When Amarinda wanted to treat Jaron's wound)
3) āYou can fix this, Jaron. I know you can."
Jaron said. "Itās beginning to heal on its own.ā
āWounds will do that, if cared for properly.
5) "If there is a wound, it can be repaired."
Amarinda wasn't there in TCK, still had a good line where she tells the Prozarians to leave Belland when Jaron blew up their ships.
1) Ā "Vengeance will cost far more than you have already lost. Learn that lesson now, and go home, in peace." (Amarinda tried to make them become nice but certainly the Prozarians didn't learn their lesson next book. Though it's true vengeance won't get people anywhere much.)
Here is my review of the Ascendance series : I just love Jaron! He is my book crush in the Ascendance series. I also adore Mott, Roden, and Tobias. I liked Mott because of the conversation he had in Book 1, how he could see Sage was acting tough but wasnāt truly tough. Mott was the only one in Book 1 who realized Sage was the prince. His loyalty later on in the books and how, during the war in Book 3, he made Jaron regain his strength (I love his speech to Jaron) was remarkable. He was Jaronās friend but also felt like a guardian figure. I really didnāt want him dead in Book 3 and felt Jaronās pain when he thought Mott might die. Roden and Tobias werenāt my favorites initially, but I ended up liking Tobias by the end of Book 1 and later on. As for Roden, I donāt approve of what he did by trying to kill Jaron or break his leg, but I love what their dynamic became later onāthe development was too good. I like how Jaron said a few philosophical things to Roden in Book 2 during the fight and also in Book 3 to boost his confidence. Rodenās actions were confusing in Book 4, but in reality, he never truly abandoned Jaron even then. I hoped Roden and other characters had gotten more spotlight in Book 5 (I needed to see my favorite trio). Amarinda is the kind of princess I usually likeāroyalty who doesnāt enjoy royal life. She had a sense of duty and turned out to be amazing in Book 3. I liked her story about wanting to make her own choices. Sheās kind of fun, too (I find it funny when she said she hated wearing gowns in Book 2 and when she joked with Fink in Book 3 at the beginning). I donāt mind her and Tobias ending up together, though it was a bit weird since we got no scenes between them in the books. Still, as a side couple, it works. However, I wish Tobias hadnāt told Amarinda in Book 3, when they were playing in the mud, the same thing Sage had told her in Book 1 during their first meeting (about dirt on her cheek). It didnāt give me a distinct feel for their romance since they didnāt have many on-page scenes.Harlowe is great. I always liked how he never got upset with Jaron, especially how he gave Jaron that hug when Jaron shouted at him at the beginning. Jaron really needed such hugs a lot, but I think whenever Jaron shouts in the books out of anger or fear, people just misunderstand him or get angry with him. Kerwyn was so good, but I donāt approve of the author killing him off-page in Book 5. Was losing someone who was like a parent necessary? Jaron already lost his parents; he didnāt need to lose more. (He will remain alive in my headcanons.) Fink turned out to be one of my favorite characters. Heās cute. I love his dynamic with Jaron, and in Book 4, how Fink is the only one who isnāt angry with Jaron no matter what.I think Books 4 and 5 had a different vibe, and many times things seemed repetitive, like Jaron getting imprisoned in every book or being physically tortured. I love the plot twists in the series, especially the Book 1 twist, but I felt some plot twists in the later books were unnecessary. I liked the plot twist of Darius being alive in Book 4, but I didnāt like the twist of him being adopted and also being Connerās son. I still donāt like Conner despite what he did in Book 3. I usually donāt like villains no matter what, and Conner killed Jaronās parentsāhow can I forgive him? Heās not interesting or complex like Soo-won from *Yona of the Dawn*. Conner killed an innocent orphan kid just to prove how high the stakes were in Book 1; I cannot like him. I also didnāt like what the author did with Dariusā character in Book 4 because I thought Darius missed Jaron and didnāt imagine him to be like that. I didnāt think Darius really wanted to be king; I thought he did that because he wanted Jaron to enjoy freedom (something like that was mentioned in Book 1). Wasnāt it a bit stupid of him to believe Jaron could do that to his parents? Anyway, he later turned out to be the way I always thought of him by the end of Book 4 and in Book 5.

Tobias uses long words regularly when speaking. And often has to define them when speaking to total of 2 weeks of education Roden, which he does very naturally and only teases him about it when the need comes up. That's all fine and good... Until he starts doing it with everyone. It becomes such a natural part of his speech, whenever he uses a slightly lengthy word he defines it for your hearing pleasure. He does it with everyone, with Roden, with Jaron, with the Regents, with Amarinda.
Roden doesn't mind and fully supports this weird habit because it's greatly helpful to him and sometimes he doesn't realize it's not helpful, and actually patronizing, to everyone else.
Jaron finds it offensive but mostly grunts and ignores it. Unless Tobias has the audacity to it when he's already ticked off, then he blows up a little and Tobias doesn't even know what he did.
The Regents make faces at him and each other, and sometimes put in a polite "yes we know what __ means" when they get the chance (Tobias talks a lot when he wants to talk and it's impressive if they can get any word in). Almost all of them hate it and find it so patronizing. The only time Jaron enjoys this habit is when he sees his least favorite regents quietly seething as Tobias defines the word "consequently".
Amarinda doesn't like it either and will always reply to him shortly and hotly. Though he never hears the Regents when they say much the same things, he always takes attention to Amarinda and apologizes fervently.

Well, Im sorry I havenāt been doing the Percy Jackson and Ascendance Series crossover. But I have a new story which is kind of like a Marvel and Ascendance series crossover.Ā
