you know what to do, captain
i love memory alpha.
Paul Wesley gets a lot of shit for not looking much like Shatner’s Kirk (even though he’s got the mannerisms down perfectly), which seems unfair considering he looks exactly like TAS Kirk

I need a Star Trek series that are just shorter, 20-30 minute episodes explaining and showing how home-life for different species on different planets could look like, then I can die happy
First episode about a single Klingon dad trying to train all his children in combat but also struggling to keep the family together. Then, using fighting to bring all his family together, and also helping one of his son’s with his Klingon homework. The son wants to be a scientist and his dad is like “as long as you’re a scientist with honour, I don’t care, I’ll love you”
Second episode about an Andorian child whose half-Vulcan, and is freezing all of the time, because of how cold it is, but all of their classmates understanding and bringing them coats and stuff. Andorian child’s parents worried that other children won’t accept their child, then start crying because of these gestures and they realise how much the world has changed since they were young
I’m just saying it’s not all about Earth. Shoo off, humans, let me see those Vulcan great, great grandparents telling stories about first contact and Ferengi school bake sales where everything costs more than 12 houses and a small flat
appreciation post for that 1 scene in the cartoon thats deeply serious and powerful to me and only me
