So finally this special is drawing to a close, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun at the end too. Last for our entries, but certainly not the last character concept, nor the least, we have Morand the half-elf swashbuckler!

Morand was born from a marriage of convenience to a wealthy merchant father, though they had little interest in their father’s business, or much of anything other than helping tutor and care for their younger sister, who was born from another marriage. Despite this, Morand loved her dearly, and spent much of her time with her.

All that changed, however, when their father’s less scrupulous business dealings came back to haunt him, a deal gone south resulting in their estate burning down, taking their younger sister with it.

Blaming their father for what had transpired, Morand left, taking some money to get by, but not really having a plan in mind. They was stopped by a friend of the family, a swordsman, who offered to teach them the way of the sword to help them get by.

Accepting, Morand learned a sword style that combined acrobatics and deft feints to set up for singular, deadly strikes that deal an exceptional amount of damage.

With those skills in hand, Morand adopted the carefree attitude of their sister, and began working as a mercenary and adventurer, favoring jobs that would pit them against foes whose greed made others suffer.

They, as I see them in my head, have a short, somewhat feminine haircut with auburn hair that nearly conceals their pointed ears, and while they left the trappings of luxury behind, they still prefer fine, embroidered clothes.

 Morand’s build revolves around dealing as much damage with a single blow as possible, so I chose to focus on the vital strike line, improved feint line, and slashing grace, and equipped them with a keen, adamantine scimitar at the earliest opportunity. The result was a force to be reckoned with, able to move and tumble into flanking positions with ease, and drop a foes AC to make hits easy to come by, and critting often to keep recharging panache points, which help to boost their damage with precise strike, pairing that with vital strike for even more damage.
