My name is kate. I am a highly imperfect, overthinking, over feeling, overwhelmed kind of girl. I love very hard, and try even harder.

I have two beautiful daughters that I try to do right by daily. I fail at that in particular, constantly. But everyday I try harder than the day before.

I’m here because I want to start writing again, and connect with others whose words I resonate with, and hopefully mine with them.

Hello! My name is Leslie. In this picture, just weeks from having our first child, I was 31 years old. Currently I'm 33. That lady had zero clue what she was getting into, regardless of working with children for over 10 years.

She was happy. Getting healthy. Newly diagnosed with diabetes. Married and living with her In laws. Had zero direction in her life, but that's okay. No one really has much direction anyway. Very free spirited while also being completely anal and a list maker/over planner, which doesn't make sense.

She suffers from anxiety and depression, loves her little family, and is excited for that tiny human inside of her to come bursting forth from her womb like an Alien.

This is that beautiful alien. Isn't he... a mess?? He was pretty high maintenance. My contractions weren't giving him enough time to recover, his heart rate dropped, delivered by emergency csection. He waz hypoglycemic and suffered from Transient tachypnea, which is pretty common. It's the fancy way of saying he still had amniotic fluid in his lungs so he was breathing really fast and was on oxygen for a while. He spent his first 4 days of life in the NICU, and then he got to come home with us.
