Mini Writes â A Buggy Revenge
Jax x You x Ragatha
Oneshot | 1.6k
CW: Centipedes in clothes, arachnophobia, entomophobia, bullying with bugs
Summary: Jax decides to bully Ragatha using her worst fear, so you decide to give him a taste of his own medicine.
A/N: Hehe first of this lil series! Just some shenanigans between you three. I honestly thought this situation would be hilarious, which is hilariously ironic because I actually have very severe entomophobia and OCD related to it. Luckily it's only for buzzing insects so centipedes are fine XD Enjoy as always!

âJax are youâ Jax!!â
You turned the corner, looking around for your friend when you caught Ragatha freaking out just outside of her bedroom. Jax was laughing as he leaned against the opposite wall, a stark contrast to her scared and frustrated whining.
Ragatha stammered your name when she saw you, and she tried to smile but failed through her fearful expression. âH-Hey there Y/N h-how's itââ
She was cut off by you raising a hand.
You weren't buying it, approaching the two with a heavy and exhausted sigh.
âWhat did he do this time?â you deadpanned, giving Jax a particular glare with your eyes narrowed.
Jax grinned smugly back at you, closing his eyes and shrugging. He crossed his arms, humming in amusement.
âOh nothing, I just gave Raggy here a new present,â he chuckled, before you pinched his arm and he flinched. Jax retaliated with a small and annoyed ow!, pouting at you, but he didn't push it beyond that.
âIs this true?â you asked, looking over at the nervously fidgeting ragdoll. She crossed her fingers over each other, shivering when Jax mentioned that âpresentâ.
Regardless, Ragatha chuckled nervously, trying everything in her power not to inconvenience you or rope you into her little predicament. âN-No no Y/N, really! I-It's really not that big of a deal!â she stammered.
You simply walked past her and peered into her bedroom curiously, and your expression fell promptly when you saw what was on her mattress.
âMhm. Of course.â
A big and oddly colourful centipede sat on top of Ragatha's neatly made bed, offering a gross addition to her collection of plushies and dolls.
Your eyes circled back to Jax, who was snickering and sputtering through his attempts to hold back his laughter. Ragatha seemed antsy, but mostly frustrated at Jax's audacity.
âThis is the 3rd time this week, Jax!â she whined, giving up the polite persona and going back to being angry at Jax, turning to give him a bitter glare. âWhy do you keep doing this!!â
âAww Raggy, don't freak out! It's only a little one,â Jax giggled, his large grin and cheeky eyes reflecting his amusement of the entire situation.
You cocked a brow, narrowing your eyes at him.
âOh, is it now?â you hummed, raising your eyebrows curiously. You then marched up to Jax, grabbing him by the ear and dragging him with you into Ragatha's bedroom.
Jax yelped and protested, trying to tug himself away from you, but your grip was strong. Were you seriously fucking dragging him like you were his mother!?
âOW!! What the hell, Pipsqueak!?â he whined, stumbling back when you let him go. He gave you a gruff huff and straightened out his ears, pouting at the undignified move you just pulled on him.
You didn't pay attention to his mini-tantrum, and pointed at the palm-sized bug. Your neutral eyes met his. âYou put it in here, you take it out,â you demanded simply, giving him a deadpan expression.
Jax glared back at you, then looked smug, unfazed by your demands. âOr what, Tiny?â he chuckled, pocketing his hands and grinning down at you.
You shrugged, grabbing the centipede yourself and holding it up to Jax's face. âCome on, take it."
Jax felt a shiver run up his spine at the writhing bug that was now inches from his face. His grin went from smug to nervous, his pupils shrinking. He slowly began to back away from you as you began to walk towards him.
âHey hey, Shortie, no need to jump to such drastic measures!â he chuckled nervously, gulping before his expression shifted uncomfortably. âG-Get that thing away from me!â
Jax didn't want to say that he brought it in with a jar, but he didn't have enough pride to actually muster up the courage to hold it bare.
You grinned widely, slowly leading Jax out of Ragatha's bedroom. The ragdoll in question smiled and even seemed a little amused at that sight. She snickered when Jax didn't even meet her gaze, too focused on the bug in front of his face.
âAww come on, Jaxxy! It's only a little one~â you cooed in a playful voice, backing him against the wall. The centipede squirmed and wriggled in your fist, trying to escape your firm grasp. Jax made a disgusted face at the sight, cringing away from your hand as you held it up to his face.
âOkay, okay! You made your point!!â he retorted, losing his patience. A low and annoyed growl came from his chest. âNow get it away from me!!â
You hummed in satisfaction, but your eyes held a glint of smugness.
âAs you wishâ Ohâ!â
You accidentally dropped the centipede, and it landed straight into Jax's overalls. You grinned and shrugged helplessly when Jax's eyes widened in panic.
âOops~â
The scream Jax suddenly produced was enough to make you flinch back and widen your eyes in surprise. If you weren't right in front of him you would've thought he caught on fire.
âY/N YOU @#$& @#$&%! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!?â Jax shouted, writhing and slamming himself against the wall in an effort to squish the crawling insect.
Neither you nor Ragatha could hold back anymore, both of you started bursting out in laughter at his epic freakout. Ragatha held her hands over her mouth, giggling and laughing while you doubled over and clutched your stomach, loudly cackling like a deranged witch.
âI CAN'T BREATHE!!â you howled, tears of mirth pricking at your eyes as you leaned against Ragatha for support.
Jax couldn't even take off his clothes, which left him no other choice but to flip himself upside down in a handstand so the bug would fall out of his overalls. He had to shake his shoulders a few times before the centipede landed on the ground with a soft thud.
You were still laughing as Jax finally collapsed on his back, panting on the floor. He stared into the distance for a few seconds, traumatized by the experience before shooting both you and Ragatha a sharp and angry glare.
The centipede writhed around a little on the ground, then quickly got up on its feet. It tried to scramble away before it got scooped up by another pair of hands.
âLarry! There you are!â Kinger exclaimed, his eyes squinting excitedly as he ran a finger down his pet centipede.
You and Ragatha's laughter finally died down, and you both looked over at Kinger curiously. Your eyes narrowed a bit in confusion before you realized what was happening.
Right, Kinger loved insects. This one must be his.
âThank you guys so much for finding him!â Kinger practically squealed with joy, looking at the three of you with the bug clutched in his hands.
âDon't thank us, thank Jax!â you chuckled, wiping the tears of laughter from your eyes. You made a gesture at Jax, who slowly got up from the ground and popped his back and shoulders a few times. âHe kept him nice and warm and safe for you in his overalls~â
Kinger, completely oblivious to the entire situation, approached Jax with a grateful expression. âJax! Oh, I couldn't be more thankful to have such a great friend!â he exclaimed, giving Jax a few pats on the head. âThank you for keeping Larry safe, you know how the little rascal likes to escape!â
Jax flinched from the touch, then rolled his eyes. âYeah, yeah⌠No problem, Kinger,â he grunted, slowly backing away from the chess piece. He glared at you and Ragatha, baring his teeth slightly at your amused faces and soft giggles. âNo problem at allâŚâ
Jax was still very, very mad, but being openly rude to Kinger and his insects was like kicking a puppy, so he held his tongue for now.
Kinger nodded and left back to his fortress, cooing at the bug in his hands. As soon as he turned the corner, Jax geared his deadly glare back to you.
âYou two are so dead, y'know that?â he growled, narrowing his eyes and clenching his fists.
You grinned, unfazed by his anger. You tilted your head innocently.
âOo careful Jax, I might put a big spider in your bed if you do that,â you taunted, laughing at the subtle fear in Jax's expression when that idea was brought up. âI saw some pretty hairy ones down in the basement, and I know Kinger has one called Carolina~â
Jax shuddered involuntarily, but his glare returned when Ragatha giggled in amusement. He heaved a sigh and threw his hand in a dismissive gesture, turning and walking away. âWhatever, go @#$& yourselves,â he grumbled, pocketing his hands.
You just chuckled, then turned your gaze back to Ragatha, who gave you a grateful smile.
âThanks, Y/N,â she hummed, which you just shrugged dismissively at and waved your hand.
âAh, what are friends for,â you hummed, glancing back at Jax. âNext time he bothers you, just come find me. I know how to take care of âem.â
Your eyes followed said rabbit as he turned the corner to head to the main tent.
âI'll see you later, I gotta go talk to the purple idiot anyway.â
âAlright, I will, and thanks again!â Ragatha smiled, waving at you as you walked off. âI'd wish you good luck but I think Jax needs it more,â she giggled.
You laughed at that and strolled off towards the direction Jax stormed off to. You were the only one who was able to keep him in line, and one thing that was glaringly obvious? He just wanted your attention, and unfortunately for him, you were willing to give him as much of it as he asked for.
