This antler had been sitting on a shelf longer than I've been alive, my grandfather found it in a forest and gifted it to my mom. I played with it when I was a kid, thought it would be cool to make a knife out of it. Then I grew up and bought my first carving tools😈
Lyonel as satyr, carved antler and yellow carnelian, will be a centerpiece for a necklace. My first attempt at horn carving.
"Antler Dance" 18"x24" Acrylic, paint pen, colored pencil, soft pastel, and charcoal on reclaimed wood
Sway to the rhythm of nature's perfection. Stand strong like the antler, and know that even if you fall and shatter, you'll grow back even stronger.
Available here, or prints here.

I’m planning to have these dissambled if they end up being too big to hang assembled. If so I’ll paint cave paintings on the interior of the antlers.
