So I know I'm a bit late but Hermod is a Dianite right?
I forgot to mention it back when the shadows were mentioned earlier this season, but in season 1 weren't the shadows just a test from Dianite to see if his followers would turn? Could the Shadows be that again?
Well time to catch up on the official Mianite lore. Excited for this.
Mianite backstory headcanons
So before today’s stream and all my headcanons get ruined, I may as well share them all. this is very long but if you want to read a long Mianite thing go ahead.
Season one backstory (this is unlikely to change): a goddes called Nite created the three gods and named them. Ianite was created first and was almost the spitting image of her mother. Mianite was next, then Dianite. Nite began to teach her children the way of gods, but The Shadows attacked. Nite wiped the siblings memories to erase anything god related but so they remembered each other. She hid them each in a different town, far away from each other. anite was hidden in a small island village called Ianaria, where she became quick friends with Capsize and RedBeard as kids. Mianite was hidden in a larger city called Miantus, where he was the only one to be discovered a god. Dianite was hidden in a desert village called Diecren, where he became good friends with a boy named Charis (they totally don’t start dating latter on what are you talking about) They lived in the towns for many years before Nite returned to them an gave them their memories back. Ianite was unhappy to leave her friends, and Dianite flat out refused to leave Diecren at first, but eventually they and Mianite went with Nite, visiting their homes at least once a year. The gods learned how to use their powers, even managing to grant Charis, Capsize, and RedBeard immortality. The gods tried to create life as well, but only Dianite was successful and made Furia Their lessons continued for a while, interrupted by frequent breaks to visit their now immortal friends. As a gift, Nite gave the three immortals each a talisman that allowed them to talk to the gods, and invited them to stay in the god’s palace whenever the pleased. This lasted for a while, until out of nowhere the Shadows attacked again. Nite went missing, leaving her three kids to defeat the Shadows. With the help of four mortal heroes the gods defeated the Shadows (the four heroes died and are not the current group of Sonja and the boys) Nite didn’t return, and it’s assumed she was killed.
Dianite (who is now unknowingly bring influenced by the Shadows) began to become more distant and angry at times, and sometimes having moments where he could not remember anything and no one could tell him where he had been or what he had been doing (this happens when the Shadows are completely possessing him). Eventually the Shadows decide to attack, and possessed Dianite to attack Ianite (the Shadows forced Dianite to see when he attacked his own sister, but didn’t let him see where she was hidden). Dianite was now aware of what was happening, but if he tried to tell him brother or anyone else, the Shadows forced him to stop. He didn’t even try to talk to Charis, for fear that the Shadows would try and hurt his friend. Dianite cut off all ties to the Overworld and retreated into the Nether, only coming out to interact with his followers. Mianite created a valley designed to train heroes to rescue Ianite. The valley was surrounded by each of the god’s lands; Mianite’s tall hills, Ianite’s vast oceans, and Dianite’s barren deserts. Eventually the events of season 1 happen (I don’t think there’s anything I really need to elaborate on during S1, Dianite was occasionally possessed/being greatly forced by the Shadows. The Shadows reached out to Sonj and Nade as they were the ‘side bitch’ of their gods, but just wanted to mess with the teams and let Dianite play it off as a test. And Furia had been loyal to the Shadows the entire time) When the heroes went to save Ianite, Mianite had finally figured out what happened with Dianite and the Shadows and went to distract the them. Dianite was himself why he had Tom kill him as it would free him from the Shadows’ control.
So season 2 and Dagrun story (somewhat editing): Nite created the gods like in season one, but the Shadows attacked sooner. Nite couldn’t wipe the gods memories so she put them together and vanished. The gods grew up together, but the Shadows were secretly causing them to fight with each other. The gods forced themselves to appear older than they were to influence the nearby towns. Mianite was the one who sent the assassin after Dianite. Ianite’s heart broke in two and she hid away. Now for when the two timelines collide (constantly changing): after the S1 Shadows were defeated, they went to the S2 timeline with a weaker Furia (there is no S2 Furia). They arrived at Dagrun just as it was being attacked by monsters (they were sent by S2 Mianite because Helgrind still prayed to Ianite). S1 Shadows joined the attack and killed Andor’s sister, mother, and father. S1 Shadows took Helgrind’s form and was about to kill Andor when Farmer Steve showed up and they had to make it look like they were saving the prince (they didn’t know that Farmer Steve had gotten to Dagrun that day and was actually S1 Dianite in disguise. Furia took the firm of Town Herald. Neither the Shadows or Dianite knew the other was there in disguise). Dianite relayed info about the S2 Shadows to his brother and sister in the S1 timeline and they decided to send the four heroes to fix things. (I’m debating on weather or not they sent any teams in first to check things out. One team would be RedBeard and a dragon named Capsize who is actually Capsize but she can only talk to the gods. Another team would be Charis and another OC of mine, Lavender)
That covers the outline of my headcanons. I haven’t thought about the Mystic or Lieutenant much as we only saw them yesterday. And the king returning today will probably throw things off a bit. If you have questions or anything, or want to compare headcanons or anything, shoot me an ask.

Break the Chains; Ianites imprisonment
The day Ianite broke the chains was a day of jubilation. The realm itself cried out in joy as, after eons of imprisonment, the god was free.
(a bit of story time lore about ianite. i'm still using my headcanon ianite who is genderles so im using them/they pronouns, but it should pretty much line up with canon minus a few details)
