Happy Memorial Day everyone, the day we celebrate our troops. Or in Sato’s case, taking down the troops.
5/28-(3 miles & strength) So what do you do the day after you eat a ton? It had taken me a while to accept that sometimes you eat a lot & you can’t punish yourself for this. So I am not doing much differently! I do try to avoid chocolate the day after consuming a lot of this. It’s really hard for me to cut back on sugar but it’s something I’m actively working on. Another thing I do is drink a ton of water! I also try to eat clean & just avoid anything that irritates me stomach:)Thats about it. I get a workout in if I planned to & I may take a few extra walks & a pepsid.
Either way totally slept in today! Until 10😮 So breakfast was late around noon & it was Memorial Day themed with some blueberry oatmeal, Greek yogurt & berries. I can already tell that in the fall oatmeal with frozen berries will be a staple for me. The whole day was pretty lowkey! We were at my grandparents house swimming, reading & tanning.
I’m still having some knee pain which is irritating! I also really wasn’t motivated at all today to run or do anything😂 I gotta get back on the grind tomorrow! Idek what it was today though, legs felt tired & sore & just weird….either way I so didn’t want to workout after being in the sun for many hours, but I told myself it’s 3 easy miles get it done & so I did. Don’t get me wrong though I got it done inside… 3 miles with a time of 27:39 or a pace of exactly 9:13! Slight knee pain which is aggravating since I can’t pinpoint how it’s coming about. Overall a sweaty, easy 3, that I wasn’t feeling but did anyway . After that 30 minutes of strength, with 20 minutes for arms💪🏻 I just want strong arms guys ugh it’s so hard😂 It’s pathetic but I can’t do a pull up or chin up or anything. So I’m going to keep working at it until I can do them. Overall not my best Monday workout, but better than nothing!
Dinner was at my grandparents house! Grilled chicken, some pasta, bread, salad & not pictured spaghetti squash!! I went on a little walk at my grandparents, then another walk when I got home to get some more steps in!
Snacks: a cup of cereal at my grandparents pre-run & a rice cake with whipped cream lol
Thankful for hours in the sun spent reading & oatmeal
