Something important to consider in hypergamy circles is that the end goal isn't necessarily to marry a rich man, but a generous one. There are plenty of wealthy men who go on to use their finances as leverage and will give you the world but make you work for every single cent through emotional or domestic labor for the rest of your life. Some of these guys “provide” in a way that slowly just traps the woman — they encourage her to quit her job, isolate her from her own earning power, make her dependent on their lifestyle, and then act like she owes them gratitude for the privilege of being controlled. No savings, no career momentum, no safety net.
A generous man will strive to provide without weaponizing it. A generous man will want to see your needs taken care of without creating a power imbalance. A guy who enjoys giving, supporting, and making sure you’re good can create a safer, more stable life than a rich man.
