What's odd is that I've never actually drawn a character in the bunny outfit before, despite it being such a classic. As usual some things worked and some things didn't, but I had a lot of fun anyway which is what matters!

It's a bit surprising that he is 18 years old (in real world years, not in the story, he's older than that by the end). Both Mahesha and Izare were created in January of 2008!
It's probably not really a surprise that even though I finished the book, I can't really let them go ^^

I am doing Mahesha from Second Chances and the categories are:
Food
As a general rule he does not like sweet things he would rather have savory or bitter food. He also doesn't like super complicated food. One thing in particular that he likes is dark bread and butter.
Festival/holiday
He doesn't really understand holidays to a certain extent but he has good memories of going to midwinter festival with Izare.
Season
Spring! He likes flowers a lot, but also he’s slightly claustrophobic and doesn't like being trapped inside with the doors and windows shut. He likes being able to open the windows again in spring!
Poem
I'll be real with you, I hate 95% of poetry. He likes poetry though. I can't tell you what kind of poems he likes but canonly he does like poetry.

Second Chances is like 20 years of mutually exclusive pining because despite the fact that they spent most of their lives in the same house, Mahesha and Izare have entirely opposite trauma.
Mahesha is very hung up on the fact that he can't be with Izare because Izare is human and he isn't. Whereas izare (when he finds out about this) is just "well a person is just a person, why would it matter if you're a human or a shapeshifter?"
And Izare struggled a lot with toxic masculinity and internalized homophobia but when he's trying to talk about these things Mahesha is genuinely baffled because he's barely even conscious of gender and is just "gender doesn't matter, a person is just a person, right?”
