something no one tells you about having a cardiac alert service animal and a sexual partner is sometimes, you will have to bargain with the cutest little helper on earth for the opportunity to finished what you started with your husband
A medical youtuber named Medlife Crisis, who has a video about Long Qt Syndrome, (type 2), a heart disease that can literally make you die of fright, ends the video with a LOUD, and sudden, phone ring. Earlier on in the video, he straight up used someone getting a call from their mom and dying from it as an example. Additionally, he says that about 1 in 7000 people have Long Qt Syndrome.
That video currently has 68k views. While there does appear to be treatment for it, the fact that he would even do that in the first place could still mean that someone with it would’ve died FROM A VIDEO ABOUT IT.
Hell, someone with it could’ve looked up videos about their own condition, found this, and died because of it.
This is made even worse by the fact that, while I don’t know much in depth about the disease, is something that some people might dismiss as extreme anxiety. Even if I am wrong on that, it’s still something that legitimately might’ve caused a few deaths.
And in the comments, his only response, as far as I can tell, to people talking about how that could’ve actually killed someone, is this:
I don’t want to say that jump scares in general should be banned or anything, but when it’s on a video about how something like that could kill someone is when I think completely crosses the line. Note: While this is important, YOU ARE NOT A BAD PERSON IF YOU DON’T REBLOG IT. I want to make that very clear.
I have a genetic heart condition called LQTS (Long QT Syndrome). It’s really rare, and can be deadly. I’ve got an arrhythmia. My heart doesn’t beat right. I’m a teenager in the cardiology unit with all the oldies but Goldie’s who’ve had heart attacks. I feel like my youth is gone. I pass out sometimes. I can’t do what my peers do, it’s too much strain. The periodic-paralysis is getting awful. I can’t move sometimes. Can I call myself chronically ill/a spoonie?I don’t want to impose (7❤️ Anon)
You absolutely can. Welcome to the club. We don’t have much, but we’ve got each other.

Not gonna lie it's pretty discouraging that my heart, the thing keeping me alive, doesn't even beat right.
Hoooo boy I feel weird and my vision's going fucky, this might be another LQTS attack starting up
Gonna go lay down for a minute until this passes because there's a good chance we're gonna faint from this, prolly should also get medical attention for this since theoretically it could stop my heart but paramedics and er are always super dismissive because we seem normal externally and these usually pass by the time they get here. Also doesn't help that 90% of the time our heart is relatovely normal and monitoring shows nothing wrong, have had like... 30 of these attacks since it started in 2023 from the er giving us meds that interact to put us at risk when we already had the gene that makes it more likely.
Thankfully the worst we've had happen from this so far is a rare mild seizure but this has been an issue since 2023 and has only gotten worse.
Usually starts off with feeling our heartbeat as this kinda 'bloop... blo-BLOOP' rhythm, then feeling dizzy/floaty, numb/tingling sensation everywhere, vision goes fuzzy/fades to white, sometimes we puke during this stage, can't speak other than grunts and occasional stuttered incomplete words, arms/legs go limp and feel like jelly making us fall and lose use of everything but hands, and then either fainting for anywhere from 5-45 minutes or a mild seizure that usually only lasts 5ish seconds
my favorite part of american healthcare is that i cannot afford to get a possibly life saving diagnosis bc my insurance will not cover it .
is it PNES or LQT syndrome ??? wish i fucking knew !!
my life could be saved by a diagnosis . yet my insurance refuses to cover it
