Taught my first BODYPUMP class since March 5 this morning! . Due to reduced class offerings at both corporate gyms I work for I haven’t taught and quite frankly I wasn’t in a rush to go back. However since gyms have been open since mid-June I needed to at least sub a class before the end of this week to stay on payroll at one gym. So back months ago I picked up this morning’s class knowing it would meet the requirement. . I had some stress, not going to lie. More so about all the new procedures with checking in members and cleaning. I was also worried about teaching a quality class given how “rusty” I felt, even with all the basement workout prep, complete with me shouting cues! . Thankfully everything went well and I had 5 participants which made me feel comfortable too. I’m not required to wear a mask when teaching, but I did mostly because of the shared microphone! The disposable mask wasn’t a great choice as I felt like I was swallowing/inhaling it (extra kudos to @notquiteknockedup for giving birth in a disposable mask). But I made it and burned 517 calories in the process! . As it turns out my other gym reached out to me this weekend about subbing so I am teaching there tomorrow afternoon. I plan to change up masks, but also ordering workout masks from Athleta which seems to have the best reviews from other instructors in my Les Mills Facebook group. . #lesmillsbodypump #lesmillsinstructor #afaa #groupfitnessinstructor #lesmills https://www.instagram.com/p/CGQOWvnB1J4/?igshid=n5lmg27i3ui4
