🚫🌿✋Invasive Plant PSA! ✋🌿🚫⠀ ⠀ This is Mile-a-minute, also known as Asiatic Tearthumb (because it has tiny little hooks that will GET you). It is spread via birds eating the little blue berries and pooping the seeds elsewhere. It grows extremely quickly (as the name implies) and will cover and choke out other herbaceous plants, and climb anything it can get its hooks into. Luckily it is extremely distinctive, with near perfect triangles for leaves, defined ocreae, and the aforementioned blue berries. ⠀ If you see this plant--pull it up (with gloves)! (If you live in North America or outside it's native range.) Preferably early in the summer before it goes to seed and spreads more of itself!
