crazy late to posting this on tumblr but- merry christmas @enjoliquej!!

I wanted to do something that, in theory, would also give me more and new book recs that were outside of my comfort genres, so...here we go!

Here are mine in no particular order!

Vale made a binding contract with a magician in the hopes of becoming a successful merchant, only for it to royally backfire in his face. In exchange for squandered wealth, he's cursed to work for the magician for the rest of his life, soul bound to the powers the magician serves. He makes the most of his lot, putting on airs of nonchalance and clever banter. It's all he can do to keep himself from falling into despair. His life shifts when a young centaur courier and a selkie come to him for aide, to help hunt down a selkie's sold skin…

No one ever heard of a selkie selling their skin, but Muirín did. Her desire for fame pushed her to do anything, even if it meant selling her birthright for a chance to live in the city and become a singer. In time, her hopes were dashed, ending up at an establishment to sing for poor pay. The shame of returning home without her skin keeps her there. Her hopes of ever finding her skin again were rekindled when a peculiar centaur courier entered her life one day…

Landon Atwell (aka Elastomer) [The Adventures of Elastomer and Farstep @ablatheringblatherskite]

Landon Atwell is the former sidekick (now partner) of Farstep, the first superhero to exist in their universe. Experimented on brutally as a child (thus giving him the power of elasticity), Farstep rescues him when the lab is sabotaged and destroyed, deciding to raise him and teach him how to use his powers. He soon ends up becoming Farstep's sidekick, becoming known as the superhero Elastomer, and they end up forming an unbreakable father-and-son relationship, where they would do anything for each other. Landon is also introverted, shy, and anxious, yet he's also the kindest boy you'd ever meet. He is also enduringly brave, and will always, always stand up for what is right and will always protect and comfort those in need. He is also a Christian, holding on tightly to his faith despite the trials and suffering and horrible torture he has to endure at the hands of various supervillains. Despite, despite, despite, he looks to a new day everyday gripping his cross necklace and thanking God for giving him the strength and hope to fight and live.

Landon Atwell (aka Elastomer) [The Adventures of Elastomer and Farstep @ablatheringblatherskite]

Farold Bowman [Scarecrow Hat @katiethedane12]

Farold is a tired youngster (actually, he's 25) who is on the brink of locking Casey in a closet and leaving him there. But he really does look up to him. Chill 24/7 but crazy when he deems necessary. He was in the airforce once upon a time. But unfortunately he was fired due to… complications. But after that he met his three best friends who happen to be involved in a murder mystery and moody ghosts who haunt their city. Since then, he's almost died, been kidnapped, had his mind tampered with, and got stabbed. But hey! He's still got his cats, so it's ok

Fernweh [Hiraeth @enjoliquej]

Idk if Fernweh has humans in her world, but I know Farold doesn't have Centaurs in his :D

Lennon Hart [Scarecrow Hat @Katiethedane12]

This guy loves his wife and family so so much. And his motorcycle of course. He can casually make you feel like the most special person in the world. But behind that smile of his, there's a darkness he keeps from everyone, even his family. He has severe sleep paralysis. It's so severe that he even ends up seeing unusual things while awake. Although it may be a little bit more than just sleep paralysis. He was always the flirtatious reckless type, until he got married and went into dad mode. But when his family isn't around, the carelessness and impulsive nature comes out. Especially around Farold and Casey, who he met through a murder mystery while defending their case. SO, to conclude, he's a reckless ball of sunshine who gets into a lot of problems.
