What does Ellie's relationship with strange look like?
A/N: Still working out the finer details, but these are my basic notes so far. Continuation of this post for whoever is interested.
Strange the the epitome of the guy who talks to a five year old like their a mini adult, and Ellie is no exception
Ellie, for her part, is totally cool with it as she prides herself on being "mature for her age" since, despite her mom's best efforts, growing up with only the two of them meant she had learn to do a lot of things on her own
When they first meet, Strange doesn't know her full backstory and just assumes she's a really talent kid just coming into her powers
Strange can see some of himself in her; assuming responsibility that's not her own in order to fix everything
He and Cassandra both try relieve the pressure, Cassandra especially assuring her again and again that it's not her job to worry
Still there's enough there that Strange feels compelled to offer to train her, both to help Ellie and Cassandra
Once it's revealed that Ellie is actually the daughter of a powerful demon, created for the purpose of bringing hell on Earth, Strange can't bring himself to lock her away
His only real justification for this is, "she's a good kid and we bonded, okay?!"
Also, we all know Strange can be ride or die real quick. All it took was Peter giving him puppy dog eyes over not being able to get into college, and he was ready to brainwash the entire world. Imagine the power an angst ridden 13 year old girl could have.
He's not patient enough to help with homework, but he will hide a body
Ellie thinks of him more as her strict, but ultimately really cool teacher; you know the one that most everyone complained about, but once you got into class you realized they actually cared about the subject and wanted people to do well, and once you were out you realized it was the only class that you actually learned something from, like that
She pretty much exclusively calls him Doctor Strange
Once he starts dating her mom though, it gets way more complicated
She's already dealing with a lot by the idea of her mom dating her teacher is literally the worst case scenario she could ever come up with
It honestly would take them a while to work through that
Also, random aside, but I low key want to give Strange a Peter B. moment like, "that was amazing! I'm so proud of you. Wait. Do I want kids?"
