Some people possess more sophisticated fetishes, such as wisdom or awareness. They treat clarity like the key to the Bluebeard’s secret chamber. If only I open the right door, endure the right terror, I’ll find the prize, enlightenment, closure, final truth. But when the door opens, it’s bare stone. No treasure. No god. Just dust and mechanism.

That’s the shattering moment that there is no final chamber. Clarity is not the “key to something.” Clarity is the room. You already stand inside it each time you see through a fetish, strip away a false prize, or recognize conditional love for what it is.

This is what the cliché “the way is the goal” really means. Every “goal” you set is secretly an attempt to smuggle back the fantasy of reward. The only thing that holds is the act of walking itself with perception as it sharpens, disillusionment as it deepens. No Bluebeard room. No Enlightenment. Just more stone walls to touch, more illusions to cut.

President William Ruto has said Kibera slum will undergo significant alterations to become an estate in a decade.
