Aloka: We give them tiktik soup made with Soulspring water, because they do need to eat since they don’t have as much Void as I do. So they eat nightmares and negative energy, feed on life energy, and eat a bit of food. The twins seem to prefer fighting over the food rather than eating it, and they all insist on eating from the same bowl even if we have tried giving them a separate one each.

I was working on When Shadows Fall a little bit today and accidentally wrote myself into a complicated situation.
I’m working on a sequence where Khira is imprisoned and having a variety of nightmares and hallucinations about various things, whether or not they make sense.
And one of the visions, alternate reality things, was supposed to be of one of the guys from her squadron who she killed appearing to her ready to break her out. And this comes directly after a nightmarish sequence where she gets chased through a dark maze, falls into a pit, and gets “stabbed” through the heart by a monster with the face of her ex-boyfriend. So this faux reality was supposed to be a bit more ‘real’ and tangible and believable.
And now I’m not sure if the guy (Antonio) is alive or not. Him being alive would be believable already given certain events that have happened.
Now I have to decide whether or not he’s alive. Because he just said something that could either be A) a slip-up by fake hologram him or B) a warning to Khira from real live him that the situation is a trap and trick for information.
Making him alive would definitely have plot complications because I’m still not sure whose side he would take, probably Khira’s. And if he’s on Khira’s side, then there’s a Book 2 and 3 plot point that I can actually make much more interesting and flow better with how certain information is received with him basically spying on the Triad for Khira. But doing so requires changing certain character dynamics and relationships right now.
But I was really set on him being dead when he died.
Anyways, idk and I’ll figure it out eventually
