one thing i really don’t like about the later lis instalments is the costume design. it feels like all of the characters’ outfits in lis 1 and 2 are so intentional and instantly recognizable, even with background characters. i get that everyone is older in the case of de and reunion but all of decknine’s costume designs look like default sims outfits

replaying lis2 rn….i mourn the potential of dontnod anthology life is strange every day

it’s a good time to remember that lis fans are not obligated to be on board with every decision made for the franchise simply because they enjoyed some or all of the previous games. they are allowed to dislike the casting for the tv show (as long as harassment and racism doesn’t happen), they are allowed to be pessimistic towards de and reunion, and they are allowed to not want a lis tv show at all. i personally don’t feel any attachment to where the franchise has gone; i love lis 1 and 2 because they are heartfelt and deeply moving games that (in the case of lis2) never rely on cheap nostalgia to draw the fans in. people are quite free to enjoy whatever decknine shits out next, but nobody is obligated to like it simply because it has the label of a franchise they once loved slapped onto it.

but yeah i have two interpretations of nathan prescott and one of them is how i interpret what is canonically shown to us of him in the main game, and the second one is my vague interpretation of what i assume dontnod had actually intended with his character, but fumbled with for many many reasons
