So, it turns out that Zezah was right. That merchant, Oswell was in fact kind of terrible. We made it to the Silver Bazaar and it was kinda bleak. We met with Momodi's friend there, Kikipu. She's a local landowner that's been struggling under the shadow of the recent expansion of hte city in the wake of the everything that happened a few years ago. Turns out that a number of the wealthier denizens of Ul'dah don't appreciate living so close to all the Ala Mhigan Refugees and have been attempted to turn Hammerlea into their own little home away from home. They've bought most of the land between the Bazaar itself and the Gate of the Sultana and they've been working to hammer the sand into foundations.

As part of this, it means that the local scummy contractors want Kikipu to sell, and she's been holding out, a number of the locals out here are people displaced from other areas that ended up at the Bazaar hoping to recover, but it's not looking great for them. Oswell, it seems, had us deliver a very flowery letter where he pointed out that everything that Kikipu is doing is pointless and that she should give up on her home and just move away to traipse around the city proper with him.

Naturally the letter ended up in tatter and the feathers he sent along with it were scattered to the winds. Once that was done, Kikipu brightened up considerably and asked us to help out with some local ruffians that had been harassing the locals, Zezah'd helped with that, while I tended to a few scrapes and brusies. And we ended up being in the right place and the right time to get involved when the scummy contractor showed up with thugs in tow and tried to 'sieze' the entire bazaar.

Once we'd rounded up their phony writes and Zezah sent the ringleader scampering with his tail between his legs, the town had a little powwow and all agreed to stand more firm against this guy and his ilk. Kikipu thanked us for our help and requested that we take a letter back to Momodi. The pay was even better than we'd been expecting, but honestly I just kind of enjoyed getting out of the city with Zezah. I think we should take more work that takes us away from the city steps going forward.
