one thing i find strange about TERFism and trans-criticism is how much of it is just attractiveness politics. it seems to be the leading talking point. sure, make your points on sexual dimorphism or biological sex differences (which any normal trans woman is fully aware of already, mind you. the average transsexual is not claiming she’s experiencing period cramps lol) but so much anti-trans discourse seems to just be “well you’re ugly so you’re not a woman and i feel unsafe.” which seems…. so counter-productive to your movement. trans women, like any group of people, are nowhere near exempt from criticism, but what is the point of putting so much emphasis on such an empty and invalid viewpoint? so much of feminism seems to hark on how men only respect women they find attractive, yet the majority of your breath is spent on here pointing out physical characteristics that you seemingly think invalidate someone’s identity. how does having broad shoulders, a wide jaw, and a five o’clock shadow somehow equate to being a predatory rapist? it’s a mindset i’ve never understood. obviously it’s prevalent outside trans discourse, people just generally seem to equate ugliness with evilness, but you would think a group of individuals who posture themselves steeped and rooted in theory and academics wouldn’t weaponize such a vapid and vague talking point. (not to say only terfs do it, your average Internet Man absolutely loves to dunk on the fuckability of any given trans woman at any given same, but….. fork found in kitchen.) idk, i’ve just always found it odd. like i’m sorry but i just don’t buy into the idea that you’re supposed to be reasonably terrified of someone in a public bathroom because you think they’re ugly. i think you might just be an asshole.

i stand by the fact Aaron in MCD could've been one of the best characters ever in the right hands.
Because he's a stereotypical male fantasy mc in a story not about him. This is not centred on how cool and tragic and brooding he is. He is all of those things, but like, off to the side. His side quests, his revenge plot, that's all secondary, because the world does not revolve around every sad guy. The people who do real change are the people who do it with joy and whimsy and put all else aside to do good in the world.
Aaron could never have been the protagonist of MCD because MCD is a story about doing good even when it all looks hopeless, about someone who seems powerless gaining the power to make real change solely because they stepped up and did shit to make the world better even when these thing seemed small in the grand scheme.
And if Aaron was fully fleshed out and well-written I think his place in the story would be really meaningful. Especially if it put emphasis on the importance of the balance between them. Sometimes you need to do the ugly, bad thing, and sometimes it shouldn't fall upon the Good Guy to do it. Sometimes the Good Guy needs a Bad Guy on their side to do the shit they never would've had the evil in them to do.
That could have been Aaron. Aarmau could have gone so hard.
But noooo. He did nothing, he fucked, he died, and that is his legacy. forever.

Butch, a butch lesbian serial killer with a medical fetish. All around immoral. Later zombified. Dates and kills (multiple times) Romy, but also fucking Ashlyn.
Taylor, an incel serial killer. He will kidnap, torture and murder girls (amongst other things) and upload videos online. Has a very weird relationship with his step-mother who enables him. He also gets a weird fixation on Nora (@tired-w’s oc), an FBI agent he thinks is a MILF.
Sheri, Taylor’s best friend. Major pick me. Half her say she is beautiful but the other half she begins rotting and decaying as if she is dead, and then fully recovers when the 12 hours of corpse-hood are up. Murders Nora out of jealousy.
Jerry, a guy in his 40’s who manages one of Duke’s (@tired-w’s oc) bars. He’s decent but willing to do crime if he’s gotta. Also, a gimp. Will do anything his mistress asks of him and also takes a lot of care to protect the women at work. We love Jerry
Ivory, a dancer at the bar Jerry manages. Gothic fallen angel. Was meant to be the one to raise Blaire but had a bit of a falling out with The Big Guy and it didnt work out. Hooking up with a priest.
The Priest, he’s in his 50s, has a wife and kids, fucking Ivory was a bad idea and yet here he is. She makes him feel closer to god, even if not particularly in his good graces.
Vampire, a transgender butch lesbian. She’s got no guilt over what she has to do to remain alive and does not cling to her humanity. She’s nice but also fuck you. Very intimidating. Married to Cannibal in her heart.
Cannibal, a transgender femme lesbian. She ran away from home with Vampire to live together in people-eating lesbian bliss. She likes horses. And eating people, and her wife. Slightly standoffish.
Ryder, a super edgy gay vampire man who looks like a dead guy. Romy’s older brother. Asshole. ‘Not in love’ but has been seeing the same guy for the past few hundred years. Travels around with a coven of vampires and takes care of his maker. Avoiding Romy like the plague.
Mary (werewolf), a cowboy. He’s lived multiple different lives. Literally he reincarnates. But he keeps coming back to the cowboy thing. Current lifetime is also a werewolf. Undeniably in love with Ryder.
