Like I give her 20 years at most in hiding and Hopper will just be in his 60s or 70s which is plenty of time considering that Joyce and Hopper will live to be at least 100. I'm just imagining another world, where Will and El grew up as twins. Hopper and Joyce are married, giving Jonathan the chance of not being parentified. No, he's still just an amazing big brother to both of them. In this scenario, Will and El are two, and Jonathan is six. Will and El are quiet but also mischievous. Will's hair is a cute bowl cut (more like season one) and El's hair is that cute curly bob from s2. They both dress differently sometimes but on certain days they both like to wear overalls which Joyce and Hopper thought came in handy sometimes. Hopper had come home early to relieve the babysitter. Jonathan was crouching in the corner of the room taking pictures of a bug with a Polaroid. The babysitter told Hop that the twins were taking a nap but he doubted it.
"Make any more discoveries today, champ?" Hopper asked, placing a hand on Jonathan's head.
"No, Daddy, it's just the same bugs as yesterday," Jonathan said and showed him a picture. "Do you think this one will get me into NYU?"
Before Hopper could reply, there was a loud crashing sound and then the sound of something breaking.
"I think they're up," Hopper sighed, his lips twitching.
"Duh, Daddy," Jonathan rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, he heard the pitter-patter sounds of his twins' footsteps. Will and El appeared, their cheeks pink and their smiles mischievous.
"What did you do?" Hopper asked, not too gruffly.
"Nuffing, Daddy!" Will and El exclaimed.
They attached themselves to his legs, squeezing him, looking up at him. Hopper chuckled. It was hard to stay mad at them especially when used their eyes against him. Hopper picked them up by the back of their overalls and pulled them into his arms. El and Will kissed his cheeks with a loud smacking sound. Hopper laughed. He'll find what they broke later. He shuffled out of his boots and relaxed into the armchair with the twins secured firmly in his arms as they babbled to each other in their own secret language. Hopper popped the chair up sighing as the twins snuggled into his arms, their tiny fists curling into his shirt. Jonathan stared at Hopper, who nodded at him, indicating there was room for him, too. Jonathan set his Polaroid down and crawled in between Hopper's legs.
"Jon!" Will exclaimed.
Will grabbed a fistful of Jonathan's hair and tried to put it in his mouth.
"No, Will, my hair doesn't taste good!"
"Yucky!"
"I told you!" Jonathan exclaimed and Will giggled.
"Shh. Nap time," Will said and patted Jonathan's head.
When Joyce came home, she found Hopper fast asleep in the chair, and all three of their children fast asleep on top of him. It was such a sweet sight to come home to. Will and El's heads were tucked under Hopper's chin while he kept both arms around them. Jonathan was in the middle, his head on Hopper's chest. She couldn't help but snap a picture with Jonathan's Polaroid.
"Oh. . .I should wake you up. . .well, I guess they have time before dinner. Oh, I'd hate to wake you up at all," Joyce whispered.
Joyce stared at them for a few more moments, hand on her chest as a wave of overwhelming affection hit her. She moved past them down to their bedroom, passing by the twins' room. Joyce stopped in front of her door before pausing and walking backwards to look into her childrens' shared bedroom.
"Oh my god. . .HOPPER!"
Hopper's eyes snapped open and the children in his arms jumped.
"Goddamnit. . .I forgot to clean up your mess. You tricked me," Hopper said and the twins giggled. "Well let's go see what mischief you caused."
Jonathan slid off the chair, allowing Hopper to get up. He set the twins down and stood up. He grabbed them by the backs of their overalls and let them hang there. Will and El kicked their feet in excitement, squealing.
Lukas's head almost snaps off with how fast he turns it, ears perked.
"They're speaking Swedish!" he whisper-shouts, eyes probably even wider than those of Bully and Hops, who seem to have stopped talking. Huh.
"Sorry, keep going, how many pages do you have to write?" he says apologetically, trying to stay focused on Bully rather than the familiar lilt of Swedish drifting from across the quad.
"Five. For tomorrow", Bully says with a sigh. "I think I'm going to barricade myself in the library until I've managed to squeeze out everything I know about teaching kids to count."
Hops winces in commemoration, but seems to brighten up as he looks at Louis. "You should go talk to them! How long has it been since you talked to anyone Swedish except your family?"
Louis almost manages to choke on his surprise. "I can't go talk to them!" He gestures emphatically. "Like what, just go up to people in public because I can hear them gossiping about someone's roommate?"
"I'm sure they'd like it!"
Bully nods. "Yeah, and what's the worst that can happen? They say they don't want to talk?"
There are times when Lukas forgets the vast cultural difference between himself and most of his teammates. This is not one of those times.
"No, the worst scenario is when I fly home they're also flying back to Sweden and then I have to spend all the time from Boston to Arlanda pretending like all of us can't remember the way I just randomly came over to talk to them!"
Bully blinks.
Hops looks like he just witnessed a goalie take off his skate and throw it at an opposing player. "What's an Arlanda?" he says weakly.
"Oh. The Stockholm airport."
That does not seem to be the biggest source of confusion.
Lukas tries to downplay it. "And besides, they sound like they're from Stockholm so they'd probably call me a hillbilly and ask me if we have electricity back home or if trying to not get eaten by bears is all the entertainment we need."
Hops looks like he's going into shock. Bully says, "Oh, that's what people ask me when I say I grew up on the rez! I get you." He claps a hand on Lukas' shoulder. "But seriously, it's okay if you want to speak Swedish more often."
Hops sounds very shaky. "I'm, uh, I'm going to go see if Bitty made pie."
Hops gets almost halfway across the quad before Lukas realises he's heading away from the Haus. "Shit!" He turns to Bully. "You get to the library, I'll make sure he gets some pie safely."
Bully nods at him, cool as always. He saunters off and Lukas bolts off before he loses sight of Hops

but i also love the idea of (canonically second best dancer of smh) bully being an expert gymnast who came from a family of travelling performers, whose acts are tied deeply to their cultural identities
this is up in the air for the meantime, but either of em would be excellent nightwings

now i gotta be honest, i almost didnāt want to have red hood be part of this bc pain but!! i think dex would be an excellent red hood

initial instinct says camilla, jackās ex, a skilled assassin-slash-mercenary with her own moral code
her relationship with jack would mirror that of roy and jadeās and whiskey would be lian.............except instead of lian itād be damian LOL
camilla kept whiskey as a secret bc she knew who Jack The Batman and Jack The Billionaire was, but sheās forced to give him up when her life comes under threat and she decides heād be safer with jack
jack and camilla do not have an antagonistic relationship before nor after whiskey comes into jackās life, but just from the way whiskey grew up heās got Some Issues to deal with
jack allows him to express/release his emotions with combat and detective training, and eventually he becomes the next robin
ALTERNATIVELY
whiskey is a clone resulting from the success of experimentation combining jack and kent parsonās dna (think conner kent being the result of clark kent and lex luthor)
kent is jackās old flame and partner
they grew up together and were inseparable for most of their youth until a brutal falling out where jack eventually started his path to become the batman, and kent turned to crime and world domination
whiskey, again, was the result of an experiment studying human genetics that successfully created a clone of billionaire and masked vigilante, jack zimmermann + the head of the biggest crime league in the world, kent parson
whiskey comes into jackās life after discovering his conception and wanted to learn more about his other father
he also left the league bc i imagine grooming a child to be a murderer in a villainās syndicate takes its toll and whiskey saw this as his perfect out
cue the same journey to him becoming robin iv

shitty is alfred pennyworth but not an old butler. he is instead jackās righthand man and best friend. if it wasnāt kent with jack growing up, it was shitty, and shitty stuck by jackās side after kent left. they know each other as well as they know themselves, and jack would trust his life and family with shits. shittyās basically his live-in manager and PA, but he loves what he does and he, too, protects the batcave with a shotgun (as well as a foul mouth lol)
lardo is lucius fox and heads all of zimmermann enterpriseās innovations. she got into a relationship with shitty after years of the two of them dealing with jackās bs and eventually they two fell in love. sheās a genius and unafraid to put any of the batfamily in their place, especially since shitty wonāt. yeeeeeears down the line, once jack puts up the cowl once and for all and she and shitty have their own family, their son picks up the mantle to become the next batman a la jace fox
tater is the superman to jackās batman. a loud and kind humanoid alien who was adopted by russian immigrants after crashlanding to earth as a baby and grew up to eventually become superman
tango is superboy ii and whiskeyās best friend. idk if i want him to be taterās son, but i do want super sons, and whiskey needs a sunshine alien just like damian lol
george is wonder woman. i am not taking any questions about this.
