Join John is one of his final episodes as host as he discusses why the church isn't true.
My "maybe probably someday but maybe not soon" has become a definite "yep, I'm done."
Last week I listened to this Mormon Expressions podcast. Listening to John Larsen systematically set out the issues like this was what I needed to hear, and it was like flipping a switch for me, mentally and emotionally. It seemed so clear.
Now, as he says, handing this to a believing LDS member is most likely not going to do anything in terms of changing minds, so if you identify as a believing Mormon and you're happy in the church, I'm going to go ahead and say that it will probably only frustrate you, and you can easily avoid that and save your time by not bothering. I used to believe in Mormonism. I don't anymore.
(Now I just have to figure out when and how to tell everyone.)
