He also called Derry Londonderry one time..... I broke up with him after the kept calling it the south of ireland....... its not....... DONT PMO !
This is an anti éireboo zone. GTFO, I don't like you, especially the maga ones

Saw Mike Wozniak live in Dublin yesterday! He was performing his current show, The Bench. It was really fun, I highly recommend it. His delivery is so good. He can say the most banal thing and have the whole audience in stitches.
It was strange but nice to see someone "off the telly" in the flesh. I should go to stand-up comedy more often.
At one point, during some audience interaction, an audience member mentioned they were English and got a bit of a boo from the crowd (in a joking way). Mike then recounted the story of his first ever gig in Dublin: there was an Irish hen party in the crowd who voiced frustration that he wasn't getting to the point (part of his whole shtick is going off on tangents for humorous effect). An English hen party in the same crowd then started to defend him, at which point Mike was afraid that he had "reignited a centuries-old conflict" [or words to that effect]. His delivery was very funny.
do I have any moots in ireland? I'm trying to decide if I can swing a couple days there this summer after I do my big hiking trip in scotland/before I have to fly back to the US. I've never been and don't have a ton of bookmarks of places to go, but...it's ireland, right? how can I go wrong? is it worth going if I could only go for 4-5 days or should I plan for a separate trip in the future?
(I expect I'll need a separate visa from my UK visa, unless I just go to northern ireland, in which case I suppose a pilgrimage to derry is in order. but other than that, I don't know where to start!)
"I am standing on the threshold of another trembling world. May God have mercy on my soul" — Bobby Sands
On the first of March, 1981; politician and IRA member Bobby Sands entered a hunger strike. He had suggested that other prisoners join in staggered points to maximise the publicity.
The hunger strike centred on five demands:
the right not to wear a prison uniform
the right not to do prison work
the right of free association with other prisoners, and to organise educational and recreational pursuits
the right to one visit, one letter, and one parcel per week
full restoration of remission lost through the protest
The significance of the hunger strike was the prisoners' aim of being considered political prisoners as opposed to criminals.
