Black Sketchbook Series VII: Oceanic
Something I finished a few months ago, but just didn’t get round to photographing it. Have had a bit of a rest from drawing, time to get back to it. Acrylic markers on black paper. Unplanned, process was as always, organic.

I would have wasted several hours on Google Images just staring at pictures of fountain pens and paper. There is something so fundamentally aesthetically-pleasing about seeing an ink pen with handwritten words beneath it. Recently, I discovered the beauty of fountain pen art, too. I just love fountain pens, full stop. They are not just easier to write with, but force you to slow down, can improve your handwriting, and connect you with a bygone age.
Imagination It took a lot of caffeine to follow the thread mice. My cats are outgrowing their very playful years and are becoming much more cuddly. Which means plenty more cat hair. EVERYHWERE. The yarn is fastened with masking fluid on the back. Looking back, I would've used thicker paper, this very thin paper from the 1€ store just looked like it would hold charcoal easily but then refused cooperation.
