The biggest thing to know about Evangeline is that she does not make hard distinctions between what she considers friendship and what she considers a romantic relationship. She doesn't think the two need to be so separate, and she happily and freely loves with her whole heart. She will hug and kiss and cuddle her friends happily. She prefers to be polyamorous, as she doesn't feel like she can contain all of her attention and love to one person, nor does she expect herself to be able to meet every single one of her partner's desires, and doesn't mind if a partner of hers wants to see other people as well, as long as there's still some love for her.

She's not a possessive or jealous person at all, and is very warm, caring, and understanding. It would take a lot for her to be put off from caring about someone. Not to say it doesn't happen, but she is almost always willing to give second chances and forgive.

When it comes to gifts, she prefers practical things and experiences over just things that look pretty. Not to say she doesn't think gems and flowers are pretty, but she doesn't really know what to do with them. She loves traveling, seeing new places, and sharing new experiences with those she loves. She would find great value in someone making her something good to eat, a practical magic item or weapon she can use, or a date to a new place more than anything else.

The problems a partner would run into is her strong habit to hide her pain and how she's really feeling. While she does highly value honesty in a relationship, she really really struggles to speak up for herself and advocate for her needs if they're not being met. She is a people pleaser, and wants people to be happy, and doesn't want to be a burden. She will bend over backwards to satisfy a partner even if that means that her own wants and desires go unfulfilled.

And ideally, she would have a partner that wouldn't be afraid to love her just as deeply and loudly, who would be proud to show her off and proclaim their love for her. She has had plenty of partners in the past that are ashamed of her, due to her race, her class, or her personality, but she's slowly learning that there are those who will love her for those things and not in spite of them.
