They've been threatened with legal action but they say they will keep trespassing and breaking rules to bring their local river back to life.

A team of local volunteers has been picking rubbish, clearing the river banks and restoring London's River Roding, saying they've got no other choice since no one else is doing it.

So, I am sure plenty of our elected representatives are paralyzed with fear. This fear has led them to be inactive. To stay quiet when they should be shouting. To sit back and watch when they should be doing anything at all. Their tiny little signs are not enough to save them or anyone else in this country.

The thing is, I know why they are doing virtually nothing. It isn't that they don't understand the threat. It isn't that they don't want to fight. It is because they fear if they do fight and they do resist it will be the impetus for Trump to finally take the final steps and thrust us into full blown constitutional crisis and fascism.

However, it doesn't matter. That moment is going to happen. Sooner or later he is going to try and take that step. This is not a man who is going to willingly give up power. The problem with waiting to finally have the courage to do what must be done or hoping he dies is that you are giving him the time he needs to solidify the ground under him.
