He left her broken

He left the tears and struggles and the dreams they had dreamt

  He left the comfort and warmth of where their bodies had slept 

He left her confused 

He left her feeling hurt and emotionally abused

  He left her alone 

He left her scared of the future

  He left her cautious of her next lover

 He left her wondering if she ever mattered

  Matter of fact she already knew the answer 

And swore the love she gave she would never give another

She told me she was done and that was it
