When I was diagnosed with #IBD, my GI and RN handed my parents this book. I recall my parents reading it cover to cover because who had ever heard the term Crohnâs disease? Thinking back to these trinkets makes me thankful for how far weâve come with research and knowledge. As my father says âyouâve out researched me many years ago, I canât keep up.â Itâs because something new is always being found out, if it wasnât, weâd have cureS already! Never too late to learn something new and teach the next person. . . I think we should re-read this and see how much has changed. Maybe each member of #IBDSC can take a passage? Mega confused
So my crohnâs MRI came back positive, which my gi doc basically told me not to pay attention to if it comes out negative that weâd try other tests because it may not show up in MRI.
So I was reading the results, and three things kind of confused me it says:
1. â There is scattered nonspecific subcentimeter lymph nodes within the right lower quadrant mesentery.â
2. â Trace amount of physiologic fluid within the cul-de-sacâ
Then the most confusing part is:

So last time I saw her she told me I have ileitis or whatever found in my colonoscopy from like...a year ago (ya thanks docs) and she basically was like,âYeah itâs found in people with crohnâsâ or whatever come to find out in the paperwork it says, â Terminal ileitis noted on colonoscopy.â and I was like terminal?? So I looked it up and it said it means you have crohnâs and iâm so confused.Â
(Keep in mind during the same colonoscopy/endoscopy they also found gastric erythem, enteritis, gerd and chronic gastritis.)
Anyone know what the hell this stuff means?
I find it amusing that now that I have something wrong in my insides
I keep fixating on food and documentaries about food.
