You know those AU's where the Batfam finds or learns about either hidden or thought to be dead Al Ghul Danny! with a deaged/daughter Dani (Ellie) (I should know, I created a few of those storylines) but what if, now hear me out, what if instead of them finding Danny first its Talia.

Do I want Talia discovering her thought to be dead son to be alive? Yes. Do I want her to find him while investigating Amity Park when the League gets reports of 'Lazarus creatures/water'? Yes.

DO I WANT HER TO KNOCK ON THE FENTON'S DOOR, fully ready to pretend/honey talk her way into the house to uncover what the Fenton's know, ONLY TO MEET A LITTLE ELLIE?!

Ellie whose eyes and hair look like a copy of her Beloved but she can see bits and pieces of herself as well. Talia knows the child in front of her was not fully her's though but everything makes sense when she hears a voice, a voice she hasn't heard in ages but as a mother just knows, speak out.

meeks and pitts who have known each other for so long they've always called each other "gerard" and "steven" even when they got into high school and people started calling them otherwise. neither of them mind. in fact, they're practically the only ones who can call each other by their first names. they have to correct themselves, sometimes, in front of the others, cause they forget the others don't know them by their first names. but at this point it feels unnatural to call each other the new names. plus they think it's kinda sweet. their own little nicknames, of a sort.

Whump that is about change. Whump that is about acceptance. Whump that is about adapting to loss. Whump where there is no rehabilitation, no getting back what’s gone. Sometimes things happen and there is no going back, there is no getting better. Sometimes the person that comes out the other side is different and they will never be the same again. Sometimes you need to grapple with the reality that most people don’t bounce back from traumatic brain injuries, from severe burns, from lost limbs and are their old selves ever again.

#whump #whump prompt #angst #disability #beans speaks #sorry for disability posting on whump #seen a few (very good!) prompts lately but they put such focus on…idk the ‘return to normal’#they like the angsty trauma but they don’t like the permenant disabiitiy or impairment.#it kind goes hand in hand w ye old ‘prosthetics don’t magically make you not disabled’ truth #idk. generally with brain damage you can only rehabilitate so much. the friends and family aren’t gonna wake up one day and the mc is Norma #they have to accept and learn the same way the mc has to accept and learn to live with their new limitations or perspective.#yeah permanent disability is tough to write about that’s why I like it in my whump. it’s cathartic for me as someone who’s disabled #you can have your fun fantasy everything got all better eventually stories those are fun sometimes too #but. just don’t forget that most people irl don’t get those miracles.
