thank you for the ask ^^ hollowlight headcanons coming up o7

- it was sort of a casual almost dating almost not situation for a long while, the war meant they could never really officially make it a thing and there was so much to be done afterwards that they just didn’t have the time lol

- they only really got together properly like half a year after canon, both after they had the time to properly get to know eachother and after all the post-desolations damage control was finished

- noor doesn’t show up well on camera because of her peculiarity (she emits light that ruins the exposure), so every couple photo they take sucks so badly, but they keep them all anyway

- on a similar note, if they’re ever out and about and some journalist or whatever tries to get a photo of them (‘perks’ of saving the world </3), noor can and will flashbang them with her peculiarity and it’s made nosy photographers a lot more fun to deal with. it’s enrichment for her

- as the only modern kids in the loop they’re the only ones who get each others slang and references. nobody else knows what the fuck they’re talking about and it’s kinda fun to confuse everyone

- noor dyes and cuts her own hair and when she gets closer with jacob, she starts doing his too

- after many months of effort, noor convinced jacob to dye his hair and now they match. he got the tips soul-essence blue and she has hers vibrant purple

- they’re that couple that’s always travelling, with the panloopticon making it so easy and cutting out a lot of the travelling cost they’re out and about in every corner of the world like twice a month. very minimal planning, maximum backpacking, and a lot of exploring the most random places

- jacob is one of those guys that mostly listens to pre-2000s music and noor will listen to anything, though she trends towards the heavier side. they bond over old rock music and judas priest

- noor hates storms for v related reasons, but cairnholm being old as hell means that wind rattles every time, so her and jacob (who is more adjusted to wind but also not a fan) just watch movies that kind of suck with horrible special effects to make themselves feel better, volume loud to drown the outside noise

- semi-related note, they have an old dvd player that can work inside the loop and have a lot of movie nights. they have a lot of dvds and many old slasher movies

now unfortunately this is where my field of expertise reaches its limits

honestly the only thing i have right now is that during the events of TDoDA they decide to “break up” until all the horrors are over, cuz they think if either of them die during all this and they’re not actively in a relationship, the grief won’t be as bad (obviously this is bullshit. they’ll still be absolutely devastated no matter if they’re friends or lovers. silly kids)

Floodpaw, Barleypaw, and Sparrowpaw have officially been apprenticed! So the results are in for the betting pool! Unfortunately, no one guessed 100% correct but there were several people who were close!

and @traumasandwich and @hollowlight were the only ones to correctly guess Goldenstar would mentor Floodpaw, even though they got the other two wrong.

Almost everyone thought Russetfrond would mentor Barleypaw or Floodpaw haha which I think is very funny. Hopefully people will see the logic in Goldenstar's choices as the story progresses. As a tip for future mentor betting pools, remember that a mentor needs to teach the apprentice something so a cat who already has a very similar headspace to the apprentice probably won't end up being their mentor.
