Am I the only one who can't enjoy a ship between a boy and a girl when it's implied (often heavily) that they'll romantically get together at the end?

Need to make Ginger Snaps memes about CompCis, especially from the sequel where Brigitte got locked up in the rehab centre and was denied access to her hormone blockers or puberty blockers then got forced to become someone she didn't want to be.
If making a Christmas Playlist for my Girlfriend has taught me anything so far, it's that some female Pop Artists seem to be so hellbent on signaling that they address Men that at some Point it just has to be Overcompensation.

For anyone who reads/has read Jacqueline Wilson: is she exaggerating when she makes all these 12 and 13 year old girls desperate for boyfriends or is this a legitimate thing that girls go through? Because I never experienced this growing up (tbf I'm from India and Wilson's books are set in the UK). Any thoughts on this???? Please help; I am re-reading her books aged 25 and NONE of the romantic bits make any sense.

As with many aspects of heteronormative status quo, be it the "every couple needs to have the own house/raise their own children alone/cook their own meals/etc.", the idea that heterosexuality is the most natural because of generating population feels like an idea pushed by the same ideology as capitalism and colonialism. The infinite growth ideology, that as long as we keep growing, manufacturing, and/or claiming power and resources in the name of our hegemonic status quo, that everything will be okay.
It's important to mention that the idea of Over-population is a dangerous one, tied to fascism and genocide, and I'm not insinuating that population growth is inherently bad, but reproductive ability has been framed as an essential part of the heterosexual experience at the very least. It's been framed as essential to the human experience, implying that hetero is MORE human. There are plenty people who will tell you that this is wrong and that the human experience is more than popping out babies to continue the species, but what about WHY it's been framed that way?
The ideal life of raising a couple kids in a house that you own, cooking them dinner, is marketing, selling a life based on individualism and personal responsibility instead of communal living. That means more production for everyone to buy their own stuff instead of sharing. That means more production as people compete with their peers to look more successful. That means more production as people resort to buying stuff to feel better about themselves because they feel less connected to their community.
If people can be convinced that human beings are simply propagators of the species, and their sole purpose in life is to raise the best children, they can be manipulated not into just buying into the infinite growth of corporations, but also into punishing anyone who offers them an alternative.
In the medieval poem, he's a hot queer lover, but in the film, he's ugly CGI
I am tired, people. Sick and tired of queer stories and queer desire being excised from art and literature when these older stories are adapted to film. First we have the original Wooster and Jeeves in which Jeeves was played by an old, old (and not in a hot way) man, (thank god for my man there, whatshisname in the 1990s series) then we have a straight Achilles and Patroclus and now we have a heterosexual Gawain and green knight. Fuck heteronormative culture for disposing of queer stories. There are precious few to begin with but what few there are, are wild and wonderful. Straight people think queer folk are always taking over their stories? No. Queer folk know that straight people are taking over our stories.
Not to be dramatic but if I see another straight drama praised for being sexy and edgy when it's literally the same cliche shit but the main couple wears black I will off myself
