I haven't been in the fandom for a loooooong time, but I saw a post of yours and wanted to share some fanart I made :3

Also I had a TMA experience that I, like, desperately need to tell someone, anyone about bc it makes me feel like I'm getting The Spiralled and/or The Strangered

So, I know that if I went back and relistened to season 1 that it'd be different from how I remember, and it's probably just a trick of my memory...

However, I swear to you, I SWEAR, that the version of TMA that I listened to did not ever contain a character named Sasha. I was completely convinced that the whole thing about Not Sasha was that it was going to be revealed that of course no one named Sasha had ever worked in the archive at all. I believed this right up untill the very final episode, and even beyond that.

It was only once I saw people talking about Sasha, doing character analysis, that the cracks started to form. I was half convinced everyone else on tumblr was pulling a Goncherov, but it was just too complete, too... Too absent of anyone at all talking about the fact that SASHA WAS NEVER REAL AT ALL and it is STILL driving me up a wall and I'm still not totally sure any of you are telling the truth about this or maybe I straight up just listened to a parallel universe's TMA????

And I've decided I can never relisten to the first season because frankly I think that weird multiversal conspiracy against me blip in my memory made The Stranger and The Spiral feel so much more threatening and real and I am refusing to dispell the magic for myself.

As far as I'm concerned, the Entities fucking GOT YOU ALL and I'm the only one who still remembers the real version!

Oooo that fanart is super neat! I love the way you drew the hands, they're unsettling in a really cool way! 10/10 would scream if an eye creature covered in hands got near me.

While the Sasha thing is a little odd, you really have experienced a more realistic version of TMA then anyone else in the fandom. No is more qualified to speak on Jon, Tim, and Martin's feelings than you. So you have an edge on making Sasha meta if you want to do that.

1. How many words have you written this year?

I'm gonna go off of my ao3 stats but know that i have started and forgot about Several wips T-T but on ao3 it's 62,569 (hehe, nice). im a lil pleasantly surprised that i managed to get over 50k!

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

oh for sure [Unknowing, Unwilling, Unmade], like there was Thought and Intention put into it!! don't get me wrong, i love making some plotless smut, but it was super cool to try a bunch of new/weird shit in how i wrote it.

17. Your favorite character to write this year?

If you don't mind my asking:

What is done with the ashes if the family isn't allowed to take them? Who chooses what happens to them? Do they have to be buried or kept in a graveyard? What happens if they want their ashes scattered at sea or planted with a tree, especially in a different country or province?

On a much dumber note:

"Character A accidentally knocks over the urn holding Grandma's ashes from its place on the mantelpiece and has to scramble to fix it before Character B finds out" is a common comedy trope here. I'm guessing that sounds batshit insane to a lot of the rest of the world then?

((To me burning was always more about the cost, it's cheaper you don't have to rent a big space and upkeep the grave, it's for people who don't want to have worms in them or smth idk. ))

I do know that over here the ashes get buried/kept in a graveyard. Tbh I never thought about what happened to them until a few years ago when one of my grandmothers died and the topic kinda came up, I too was used to the trope by that time already because of american media. I am a bit sad that you aren't allowed to keep them and HAVE to bury them (esp. because it costs money!) but I can understand why.

I'm not sure what would happen in cases of wishes like that, I am assuming that you can have them happen? But probably only with some paperwork idk. (also most graveyards just have ugly gray monolithes where the ashes are put and you can't even really decorate the place, it's only recently that they're allowing something more beautiful, at least where I live. Okay wait not ALL are that bad the old graveyard in the city (adjant to a park) has some nicer ones, but idk if anyone can get buried there or if it's like ULTRA expensive)

I wish I liked it more! Conceptually, you guys know it's right up my alley. Older woman + younger woman, mentor/mentee potential, commonalities and differences that could lead to both bonding and hostility... I should be more into it, and I was curious to see them interact when I saw they shared one (1) comic (literally just that one smh).

But ofc that comic was written by Chuck Dixon and it's bad lmao. Especially when it comes to Helena; I have a million and one issues with Dixon's writing for Steph, but at least there was good will there. That's absent with Helena and it shows. And the results are bad!

I don't rule out ever exploring the dynamic myself, but tbh their canon interaction killed pretty much any interest I could have in the two of them as any kind of duo.
