I hate when a character becomes a hatesink in the fandom that the fandom writes the worst shit ever

Like yeah this guy sucks ass he's an asshole but making him a rapist doesn't fit in canon at all and just so much gross shit-

Or worse they hate a female character so they have her get raped/sexually assaulted in a way that's intended to be as humiliating as possible and write horribly sexist shit (even worse I seen people look at child characters they hate like cozy glow and draw her being raped)

Its almost always related to ship discourse and it sucks
