I hope you're happy with the hole you left after you cut me out of your lives
Astatine deserves to murder all the other halogens. They should be grovelling at her feet and begging for forgiveness. And she's like "no. I am going to hang out with Polonium and the metalloids now" and I don't blame her
the halogens
…but it’s only the non radioactive ones
Astatine-211 is the isotope with the second longest known half life, and has high potential in being a canidate for chemotherapy, focused on a variety of small cluster forms.
Unlike At-210, which is much much more stable, At-211 has zero chance of decaying into Polonium-210, which is highly toxic due to its long half life and extreme radioactivity (and would therefore cause more cancer!), and instead decays into Po-211, which decays into Lead-207 within mere seconds. Along with this, it is highly likely to decay into Bismuth-207, which isn't as dangerous as Po-210 despite its beta decay and half a lifetime half-life.
in AUBREY'S CATTOS, At-211 is a less timid form of their siblings, due to their focus in medicine. instead, they are just adverse to company, prefering solitude but not forcing it. They are also much more approachable and bubbly, at least to a degree.

The Halogens from the Periodic Table are Evil Aspec
I made an evil Aspec flag for this. It's just the regular Aspec flag but tinted red. Because evil.

University of Missouri scientists are unlocking the secrets of halide perovskites -- a material that's poised to reshape our future by bringing us closer to a new age of energy-efficient optoelectronics. Suchi Guha and Gavin King, two physics professors in Mizzou's College of Arts and Science, are studying the material at the nanoscale: a place where objects are invisible to the naked eye. At this level, the extraordinary properties of halide perovskites come to life, thanks to the material's unique structure of ultra-thin crystals -- making it astonishingly efficient at converting sunlight into energy. Think solar panels that are not only more affordable but also far more effective at powering homes. Or LED lights that burn brighter and last longer while consuming less energy.

Nothing like having a favorite grouping on the periodic table to remind you of what a nerd you are (it’s halogens, of course, they’re clearly the coolest)
Iodine (I2) are VIOLET fumes
Bromine (Br2) are Red/Brown fumes
F2 is Yellow 🟡
And Cl2 is Greenish yellow
