Normalize telling people to "Get thee to a nunnery!" when they annoy you
With "Hamlet, Prince Of Robots," author M. Darusha Wehm is putting their own kind of sci-fi spin on Shakepeare's tragic tale. To learn if you want to be a reader of it (sorry), check out this exclusive interview. 📖🤖👑
~Not Necessarily Twee Hamlet Headcanons~
Prince Hamlet once spent six hours choosing a pair of socks. He hated himself for taking so long, but he just COULD NOT work out which were the optimum pair of socks.
Before he murdered him, Claudius was constantly trying to one-up his brother King Hamlet, be it by dancing (or attempting to dance) with the most beautiful noblewomen, hunting (or attempting to hunt) the best game, or flirting (badly) with Gertrude. King Hamlet barely noticed, and Claudius's feelings of inadequacy just grew and grew the more he (believed he) was ignored.
Since King Hamlet had the same name as his son (Prince Hamlet), he usually called him Hamusling, which is Danish for Ham-kun.
Gertrude was a nihilist who had learned through years of Scandinavian noblewoman activities that her husband was a meal ticket and Denmark a garden of taxpayers. Or at least, that's how she felt on the surface. In fact Gertrude cared deeply about her son Hamlet, and eventually came to realise how much she missed her husband Hamlet the Elder.
Prince Hamlet was usually quiet and contemplative, but he had a playful side which he showed around his university chums in Wittenburg. Sometimes he made snowmen. Quite frequently he made puns.
Even in her early twenties, Ophelia could occasionally be found singing nursery rhymes and playing with her dolls. Laertes would threaten to stab anybody who suggested she might be, perhaps, a little bit strange. Although she'd have hated to admit it, Gertrude sometimes came and watched her at play.
Polonius had a set of extravagant robes for every occasion, and even a handful of non-occasions. He could get through four or five outfits in one evening. He used to give Laertes a lot of stick for his comparative lack of fashion sense, but appreciated how rarely he was asked to pay for new shirt.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern had a habit of dragging Prince Hamlet to parties he didn't want to attend. They thought they were showing him a wonderful time, and to be fair, they often were. Hamlet didn't live long enough in the end to regret sending them to their executions, but the guilt would have eaten him alive.
If you prick us, do we not bleed?
If you poison us, do we not die?
And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?

Sometimes I wonder why I relate to Hamlet so much and then I remember the time my dad got engaged to his step sister, still had me refer to her as my aunt, and told me that she was also my new mom because she could be both at the same time
also im gay and indecisive
