Tafwyl On The Thames Fest / Gwyl Tafwyl Ar Y Tafwys

TAFWYL YN CYHOEDDI RHESTR O ARTISTIAID 2025 MEWN LANSIAD ARBENNIG YN LLUNDAIN. 

  Mewn digwyddiad arbennig yn Llundain a oedd yn rhan o ddathliadau Wythnos Cymry Llundain cyhoeddoedd Gwyl Tafwyl restr lawn o artistiaid yr wyl yn 2025.

Croesawyd dau o artistaid Tafwyl 2025, Al Lewis a Taran i ddigwyddiad arbennig yng Nghanolfan Cymru Llundain er mwyn cyhoeddi rhestr lawn o artistiaid yr wyl a fydd yn cael ei chynnal ym Mharc Bute, Caerdydd ar y 14eg a’r 15fed o Fehefin eleni. 

Wedi’i threfnu gan Menter Caerdydd, mae Tafwyl wedi tyfu i fod yn un o brif wyliau diwylliannol Cymru, gan ddenu miloedd o fynychwyr bob blwyddyn.  

Mae artistiaid eleni yn cynnwys rhai o fandiau mwyaf poblogaidd Cymru a fydd yn apelio at gynulleidfa eang iawn. Bydd y noson Sadwrn a’r nos Sul yn gorffen gyda pherfformiadau arbennig gan y band retro pop Diffiniad a fydd yn ail ffurfio yn arbennig i’r wyl, Pys Melyn, MR a Fleuer De Lys. Mae rhestr lawn o artistiad y don gyntaf yn cynnwys:

Once again, the organizers expect a crowd of over 36,000 at the festival in Bute Park, and they are excited to collaborate with a wide range of partners, including Cardiff and Vale College, Cardiff City Council, the Welsh Government, S4C, Radio Cymru, the National Lottery, the Arts Council, and Orchard Media. 

Speaking about the launch in London, Heulyn Rees, Chief Executive of Menter Caerdydd, said: 

"Launching Tafwyl in London has been a special opportunity to promote Tafwyl outside Wales, and we hope that many young Welsh people from the city will be inspired to return to Cardiff in June to celebrate their Welsh identity." 

The 2025 band list is particularly exciting, with organizers thrilled to see some popular bands reforming, such as Diffiniad and Gwibdaith Hen Fran, along with some of the most exciting bands in the music scene as part of an incredibly varied schedule. 

Reflecting on the schedule, one of the Tafwyl organizers, Leanne Rochefort-Shugar, said: 

"Tafwyl is more than a festival; it’s a celebration of Welsh culture in all its forms. We are delighted to announce this year’s line-up with this special event in London, giving a taste of what’s to come in Cardiff this summer." 

While the truth’s obvious to us, as viewers of the blog, Gwyl’s just a little kid with only a small understanding of the world around him.

Having been raised by Sirocco and Muffin, he’s imprinted on them and simply assumes they’re his parents. Even now that he’s a bit older, he still hasn’t found any flaw in his logic- Muffin has white hair, Sirocco has blue skin, and, since he has both, it further reinforces his belief.

The Trainer’s sitting on the loveseat in her den, a bit tranced by the videogame in her hands. It’s a bit cold in the room, but she’s too lazy to go and up the furnace, instead bundling herself up in her jacket.

“Me? Oh uh- I picked Skitty to play as. My partner’s Machop, but the truth is, I just wanted to play PMD so I could recruit Sunkern as soon as I could.”

“I love Sunkern- it’s probably my favorite Pokemon in the world. They’re so derpy and cute. Back in Littleroot they used to be everywhere in the fields. When I was really little I’d chase after them as they’d hop around. They weren’t native to Hoenn, but they still remind me a lot of home.

I haven’t seen one in years.”

The Trainer doesn’t seem to notice the sniffing noise at her shoulder.

“One of these days I’ll get enough cash to import one from Johto. Or, well, I keep telling myself that.

At least I can play this until then. The one nice thing about living out so far from town is there’s not a lot of things that interrupt your game- ”

Gwyl’s very similar to your average blue rat [lol], though he carries himself with a straight back, rather than the impish, almost craven gait that’s natural for Morgrems. He mimics the upright way Sirocco walks, and his eyes are bright and curious. He’s still quite young minded, despite his evolution. Doesn’t seem to have much in the way of mischief about him.

If you stuck him in a room full of shiny Morgrems you’d still be able to pick him out, though he doesn’t have any unique visible markings to speak of.
