Jill just doesn’t remember anymore but they know they once did and there’s a great sadness that comes with that realization, and Claudia has this… pity for them. She tries reassure them that everything doesn’t have to be so confusing and that nostalgia is alright to feel over a time they don’t remember. Norm is less pitiful over how Jill feels, and more so is disturbed that Jill can be nearly 240 years old and yet has these dark, uncanny memories of things that happened 200 years ago.

It freaks him out that Jill can recount how they got out the Wes-Tek building they were trapped in for nearly two years and recount the joy they felt at having the sun on their skin and the sound of cars racing about the streets… even as the world was ending. Mostly because it freaks him out that Jill could find joy in such an awful moment.

One mug is destined for public decoration.
