I woke up and knew this was going to be a rough one.
1. Coco did not want me to get out of bed. I didn’t feel well. I was dehydrated. I tried to drink water but it was inevitable. I didn’t drink enough water at work last night and that was my fault. Mentally I was not in it.
2. The run just started off bad. My shin hurt. My hip hurt. I was tempted to just stop there but I told myself that if I got a mile and still felt horrible I would go home. It got a little better and I knew I wanted to go see this new cool head statue at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts so I headed there. By that time I had chafing under my arms and I was so dehydrated I wanted to die. So I stopped, walked around the statue, and honestly contemplated calling an uber for a second. The head was cool though.
On the way back though, I ran past some protesters outside of our local Planned Parenthood. I said a polite “fuck you” and I think that fueled that 3rd mile, along with seeing this 80+ year old man out jogging, which made me feel even worse about wanting to quit so bad. The rest of the run wasn’t as horrible but I think the planned 6 miles would have just been bad and not worth it.
3. My roommate’s cat is a goober. She is 17 pounds of pure sass. After over a year, she finally doesn’t hit Coco when she walks by, now she tries to cuddle with her.
4. I eat pretty much the same thing every day and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I put a little bit of BBQ sauce in my eggs when I whip them... it’s great and everyone should try it. The veggies are usually tomatoes, onions and spinach but I’ll use whatever is on hand if I’m out. Pay no mind to our horrible 70s interior, our house is ugly as sin.
5. Today was not a bad run on paper, but mentally it was the worst.
To top it off, now the side of my right foot that I broke 2+ years ago hurts and I’m just ready for this day to be over. My bunions (yes, I’m 23 and I have bunions) are killing me. I’m blaming the new shoes. It’s 10:15am. I’m over it.
ANOTHER SCALE VICTORY
Woke up to another 2lbs lost
Just trying to tell myself to stay focused and that plateaus are normal, they suck balls but are normal

First run in 5ever lol
I made it to the gym 20 minutes late but the trainer still let me have my half hour appointment, I love that gym.
Wow, really good session. I can really feel it which I don’t normally after my morning sessions. I think this will put me on the right track. I used the TRX suspension bands which I’ve always low key worried about being too heavy for but I quite enjoyed it.
