Thought I would post a photo from my run this morning. I seriously cannot believe it is my last year being a college student on this beautiful campus. I feel so lucky everyday! I am originally from Pennsylvania, so even this semi-cold weather is way better than any other winter I’ve experienced.
I recently started going on morning runs. I had never been a runner before, and started working on it last year after dedicating my life to health and fitness. Luckily, I have improved drastically - I used to be able barely run half a mile, taking walking breaks in between. I can proudly say that today I ran 3 miles as my workout, and I am feeling so good!
To train my body to be able to run, I worked with intervals on the treadmill for the longest time, either at the UA Campus Rec or at Planet Fitness. Each week, I would try to run faster and longer, but just by a few mphs and minutes. By adding on and on, I finally built up the endurance I desperately needed to be able to go on a full run at a normal pace.
