I used the J-Hope tiny tan figure from mcdonalds due to the way it would form better due to his hair + clothing

It took forever to try and sand it which failed and led to worse scratches

which led to me using acrylic paint which failed and led to him scaling which ended up with me peeling him and restarting after putting at least 10-15 hours into painting it and using prisma colors

then I bought acrylic markers which failed twice before I realized I should use white first which led to this wonderful masterpiece

I actually really really wanted to join the Zerith Week this year... But, because I had too many assignments I couldn't join 😭😭😭😭😭

Oh well..., maybe one day... 🥲🥲🥲

The reason I didn't use their game designs here because the first day of the Zerith week challenge was themed rebirth or new beginnings.

So, this is my take on what if they're in another universe. I just changed their hairstyles a little bit.

I do have several sketches of these versions of Zack and Aerith unfinished in my sketchbook. Although, I think I need to work more on these alternate self designs...

My overall inspiration for these looks is, what if they're in college? I imagined Zack would be studying under Mechanical Engineering (because of that one mechanical wagon that he built for Aerith lol) and Aerith would be..., Floristry or Horticulture. I kinda want to incorporate more flowery elements in Aerith's attire, but I don't know how yet... For Zack, I wanted to make him look boy-ish and cute. So, I used his first hairstyle and added a little braid. (As a small neat connection to game Aerith's braid hairstyle design.) For his clothes..., there's no final design yet. Hence, I just draw in the usual clothes uni students would wear. Hm, I will probably keep sketching until I'm satisfied with the designs.

Plus, uh yeah, the hands look terrible... I'll be refining my skills...

Additionally, I figured out how to color sketches digitally. This is just for drawing practice by the way. I rarely create art because I'm so busy with my studies...

Wish I could have fun drawing with you guys though... For now, I'll just be practicing and observing quietly.
