Aber kalt ist es, nicht so eisig allerdings wie in der "Eiswelt" von Jasper Fforde. Jedes Jahr müssen sich die Menschen eine Fettschicht anfuttern, um den Winter zu überstehen. Sie bereiten sich auf eine Art Winterschlaf vor, um zu überleben - auch wenn nicht jeder diese Zeit übersteht. Aber selbst die, die sterben, werden noch gebraucht ... Doch muss es auch Leute geben, die während dieser Zeit wach sind. So einer ist Charlie Worthing. Er beschließt spontan sich zu bewerben und wird von Logan mehr oder weniger ausgebildet. ❄️❄️❄️ Ich habe auf dieses Buch hingefiebert, da ich Jasper Fforde total mag und seine Bücher liebe. Doch irgendwie hat mich "Eiswelt" enttäuscht. Es hat sich extrem in die Länge gezogen ( 651 Seiten) und ich fand die Zombieartigen Menschen seltsam, da sie entweder andere fressen, als Ersatzteillager benutzt werden oder anderweitig ... Der Humor ist wie immer so, wie man es von Fforde gewohnt ist, dennoch hab ich mir etwas anderes darunter vorgestellt. Mehr Eiswelt, weniger Verschwörung oder anderes. Ich dachte, im Winter würde etwas böses lauern. Gut, Monster gibt es so oder so ... Es ist gut, keine Frage. Aber irgendwie hab ich mich trotzdem durchgequält - auch wenn ich es bereits am 9.1. beendete, hab ich doch fast einen Monat daran geknabbert.
