I drew something for an Artist who i respect highly. @theskeletongames is a very talented person in storytelling and art. I especially love their version of underfell sans ❤. So I gave him a try and it actually turned out better then I expected :)
I know I have a long way to go in drawing but I hope you like it ^^

Caught Staring: Daydreaming (or Possibly ADHD), But Not Flirting

As many committed introverts know, daydreaming is a wonderfully satisfying and potentially useful activity.
While outdoors surrounded by tons of people, have you ever tried daydreaming? Spacing out? Or at least recalling about something? I have, and it was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.
So, on my internship back when I was still studying Communication in college, I was assigned to announce the names of our sponsors every once in a while during an event. As visitors gradually started to flock in, I just stood at the podium with a microphone and a piece of paper.
Being an introvert, I was looking for an "escape" out, but I really can't abandon my duties; otherwise, I'll fail and repeat the semester. So, I have no choice but to do my responsibility well.
There was one point where I caught myself staring to my left, and I didn't realize that the husband of my boss was sitting just a couple of feet away. ‼️
When I came back to my senses, I saw my boss standing behind her husband and smiling back at me! 😱 I don't want her to think I was seducing her husband because I wasn't! 😓
I was actually trying to remember something that I may have forgotten to do. Due to tons of due dates and deadlines to catch, and not to mention the tests that I have to study for, I was also sleepless which greatly affected my memory.
Also, my heels broke at the time and I was contemplating whether to go or not to go back to the apartment to change shoes. Like, I've already spent so much money for the semester and I didn't want to spare more fare just for that. 😂
Psychology says when you ask people questions to recall something, they will usually look towards their left. This means they are accessing the part of their brain that is responsible for memories. When its towards their right, it means they are most likely imagining.
Oh, now that I remember it, it actually happened twice but on a separate occasion which was at a family reunion.
Again, I caught myself spacing out and I didn't realize until later that I was staring at the husband of my aunt who is my dad's maternal older cousin.
My aunt actually looked defensive as she gave me a piercing look. She probably thought I fancy her husband. 🤦🏻♀️
Why do I always catch myself unintentionally staring at old married men? I want to bury myself alive. 😫
For real though, I'd rather stare at walls, trees, or any objects which people won't misinterpret for something else. So, don't block my view. Thank you very much.
This part focuses on visual direction. As an avid reader, I often notice references to eye movement and shape. (This includes stuff like long, sensual glances or furtive glares.) Some people believe that the eyes are the most revealing feature of a person that can connect to his or her innermost self - the window to the soul, if you will. In the case of lying, the eyes can indeed give everything away.
PART ONE
Edit: I deleted the original Part 2 post due to technical issues. If you liked/reblogged it, feel free to do so again with this one.
EYE MOVEMENT AND DIRECTION: HOW IT CAN REVEAL TRUTH OR LIES
Can the direction a person’s eyes reveal whether or not they are making a truthful statement? Short answer: sort of. But, it isn’t as simple as some recent television shows or movies make it seem.
In these shows a detective will deduce if a person is being untruthful simply because they looked to the left or right while making a statement.
In reality, it would be foolish to make such a snap judgment without further investigation… but the technique does have some merit.
So, here it is… Read, ponder and test it on your friends and family to see how reliable it is for yourself.
VISUAL ACCESSING CUES: “LYING EYES”
The first time “Visual Accessing Cues” were discussed (at least to my knowledge), was by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in their book “Frogs into Princes: Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)” From their experiments this is what they found.
When asked a question a “normally organized” right-handed person looks(from your viewpoint, looking at them):
Up and to the Left: indicates Visually Constructed Images (Vc)
If you asked someone to “Imagine a purple buffalo”, this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they “Visually Constructed” a purple buffalo in their mind.
Up and to the Right: indicates Visually Remembered Images (Vr)
If you asked someone to “What color was the first house you lived in?”, this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they “Visually Remembered” the color of their childhood home.
To the Left: indicates Auditory Constructed (Ac)
If you asked someone to “Try and create the highest the sound of the pitch possible in your head”, this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they “Auditorily Constructed” this this sound that they have never heard of.
To the Right: indicates Auditory Remembered (Ar)
If you asked someone to “Remember what their mother’s voice sounds like”, this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they “Auditorily Remembered” this sound.
Down and to the Left: indicates Feeling/Kinesthetic (F)
If you asked someone to “Can you remember the smell of a campfire? “, this would be the direction their eyes moved in while thinking about the question as they used recalled a smell, feeling, or taste.
Down and to the Right: indicates Internal Dialogue (Ai)
This is the direction of someone eyes as they “talk to themselves”.
HOW THIS INFORMATION IS USED TO DETECT LIES
Example: Let’s say your child asks you for a cookie, and you ask: “Well, what did your mother say?” As they reply “Mom said… yes.”, they look to the left. This would indicate a made up answer as their eyes are showing a “constructed image or sound. Looking to the right would indicated a “remembered” voice or image, and thus would be telling the truth.
FINAL NOTES
Looking straight ahead or with eyes that are defocused/unmoving is also considered a sign of visual accessing.
A typical left-handed person would have the opposite meanings for their eye-directions.
As with other signs of lying, you should first establish and understand a persons’ base-behavior before concluding they are lying by the direction of their eyes.
Many critics believe the above is a bunch of bullsh*t. In my own experiments, I have found these techniques to be more true than not. But, why not find out for yourself? Make up a list of questions that like the sample ones, and give them to your friends/family anyone who would be your guinea pig, observe their eye movements and record the results.
This guide is hardly in-depth, I recommend getting the book “Frogs into Princes: Neuro Linguistic Programming” by Richard Bandler and John Grinder for a more thorough explanation if the subject interests you.
