Towards uncertainty, my eyes meet

The dazzling future, trading my body to reach

I don’t know nor do I see the beauty you find

Though I want to understand if you don’t mind

The stars are distant on the horizon line

And even as regret coils, you’re beside me

Ah! An unexpected blackout

But the stage is still right? No—magic spills out!

RED-EYED TREE FROG
