Eyelid push-ups. He’s practicing.
[But thought has no eyelids to close or ears to block...]
miku fun fact #82
if miku was at a sleepover she might wear a silk eye pillow to block light due to her thinner than average eyelids which make it difficult for her to sleep in most environments.

Do you ever wonder at the strangeness of it? That our bodies have eyelids and lips, that they can at times be made to close from the outside, and at other times to lock fast from within.
—Han Kang, "Greek Lessons" translated by Deborah Smith and E. Yaewon. (Hogarth, April 18, 2023)
would the uhh uhhh the frickin fracking goddamn what the uhh eyelids exist. without cyanobacteria :3
EYELIDS would NOT EXIST without CYANOBACTERIA
Eyelids are folds of skin which protect the eyes from outside debris and keep them moisturized. The earliest eyelids likely evolved in early Tetrapods (amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Tetrapod means "4 legs", but tetrapods can have 0, 2, or 4 legs, although the common ancestor of all tetrapods was 4-legged.) about 360 to 340 million years ago during the late Devonian.
Eyelids only exist in animals and are a pretty recent innovation at that. As such, every creature they exist in is a creature which requires Cyanobacteria to survive. This is because every Tetrapod and every creature with eyelids (and the vast majority of all animals) breathes O2 to survive, which would not exist had it not been created by Cyanobacteria from the Great Oxygenation Event onward.
If you blinked while reading this post, thank Cyanobacteria!
